Xenon (HID) bulb replacements
I’ve gone on a bit of a dumb adventure with google, I originally wanted to get brighter headlights then the ones I currently have (factory HID) and thought about using a D1S led conversion kit, however I’m seeing conflicting info about if it’s even worth is due to potentially decreasing the light output, but I stumbled upon a dumb idea.
I’m not sure how many of you guys have had this issue but being that it’s an M car and has no fog lights, the fog can occasionally cause some issues with visibility (daily driver so can’t really get around it sometimes) I’ve seen some kits for the H7/H8 halogen bulbs where they have the ability to toggle between bright and clear white to a yellow for clearer driving in those weather conditions. With that being said does anyone know of a kit that exists for the D1S style HID’s? If the kit has a similar light output but has the ability to essentially act as a built in fog light come the time where it’s foggy af, I personally wouldn’t mind doing it because the few times I’ve had really bad fog, the best I can do is run the highbeams and pray to god. It would also be great if the LED’s are genuinely brighter then the standard 35 watt HID’s but I’m not too sure, as to what I know LED technology has advanced but idk if it’s been enough to surpass HID’s for their light output potential in these cases |

F32 = same headlights as F8x M3/M4
All lumen measurements are for EU LED Headlights. LEDs in USA not as bright. Xenon’s are. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...03&postcount=1 |
