Man, that is a big +ve for the sedan but most of the sedan owners dont really care if they are faster then the coupe. But it's good for bragging.

Man, I share the same plan as yours but sorry to burst your bubble...M5 wont come in a manual.

The coupe is like 50 or 100 pounds lighter....And I dont think that would make a huge difference.

I can't afford the M5. See for yourself. M5=$90k+ >>> M3 sedan=$55k+

Well, I guess I have no option, but to get a 3-series again. Not that I mind, though. Still a great car. Or maybe I'll end up liking the look of a coupe sometime in the near future. I doubt it though.

The new M3s are pure performance cars anyways, they should still make a sedan. Just make less of them if they don't sell as well.

I see way more E92 M3s though in Southern California.

If they have to ditch an m3 bodystyle the it should be the 'vert without question as it is compromised as a performance car far more than the E90 M3 is - unfortunately it is all about marketing and sales and i expect that a lot of people who would not have normally considered an M3 have bought the vert for its 'flash' factor. It would be interesting to see world wide sales of E93 M3 vs E90 M3 but i would guess that the E90 would be lagging behind in sales.

German's a little off here. You are actually saying "We have a big mistake. Scrap, the ugly GT and the structure the M3 Sedan." What you problably meant was, ""Wir haben einen großen Fehler gemacht. Wir sollen mal den hässlichen GT verschrottet werden und mit der Herstellung der M3 Limousine anfangen." Ie - "We've made a big mistake. We should let the ugly GT be scrapped and begin immediately with the manufacture of the M3 Sedan." I may have mixed up a split infinitive in the second clause, but I think this is closer.

It's called sales. One can simply look up how many cars broken down by specific models BMW has sold. Also, Alpine works at a BMW dealership so he probably has a better idea than you on the subject. Common sense says if it's a big seller, they'd make a sedan, but it's not. Everywhere I go, I see coupes on the road(M3's) and sedans in the dealership parking lots.

+1 dude...The proportions on a e93 look really off...it makes it look ugly. But at the end of the day,it's a convertible and convertible sell quite well compared to sedan. To be honest, I havent even seen one e90 m3 in dubai

I Like the M3, actually in all the styles that it comes in. I don't see any problem with the 4 door either.

how is a wagon going to sell better than a sedan? i would NEVER buy a wagon. imo they are in no way sporty and an even bigger deviation from what the essence of what a m3 is

Just curious...have those folks who gripe about the room in the rear of the e92 actually gotten into the back seat? It's really quite ok for two adults of normal size.

An M3 coupe, assuming it doesn't lose rear seating space is quite OK with me were I actually going to buy an M3 of any sort.

Then again, were I to get one, the M3 would be a "second" car not my regular use car. I don't take my cars to the track. If I did, I wouldn't care about rear seating capacity. Moreover, my daily driver is a e92 and the back seat is quite fine for carting colleagues to lunch when we have to drive for lunch. I have a 528i as my second car. I bought my kid a 328i wagon and I have an SUV for when one is needed. They are enough cars to serve all my needs.
