Who are the two clowns racing from Bridgeport area south on 95 Saturday night about 10:00 PM?

Holding up traffic at night in a dangerously busy area?

Cars packed up behind you and near miss from people not aware you wanted to race.

I recently came back from VA to CT and was traveling on 95 North through that area and lemme tell ya it was a NIGHTMARE. Multiple cars (a couple were BMWs) racing, weaving, and driving like absolute loons with no regard whatsoever for safety or common sense. I had my M3 still at the time and we pulled into the Rest Area and hung out for a few and luckily had no further insanity up the road but it was nuts, seriously. It's one thing to want to open up your fast car once in a while but this was reckless, completely crazy, unsafe garbage. 95 has always been a bit of shit show at night but holy smokes

I grew up in Southern CT. Even back then we called I-95 the "Indianapolis Speedway". No police presence, and from New Haven CT to the NY border (road gets much more windy through Rye, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, then turns into a parking lot at the Cross Bronx) it is a 4 lane speedway. Even back then you had to do 80mph to not get run over.

I haven't been on that stretch of road in about 5 years, but I believe every word of the asshattery going on. You want really dangerous? These morons do this on the Merritt Parkway on the same stretch...only difference: windy, narrow, no trucks. Exit ramps require a slow down to 10-20mph. Literally a death trap.

It's crazy…

I'm not preaching a more holy than thou. I've done stupid stuff too…

This was next level.

Cars beeping, people trying avoid clipping each other.

I doubt they were aware of the mayhem.

We all make bad decisions from time to time.

This was in real… two cars trying to hold up a three lane highway

I grew up in Scarsdale and lived right off the Hutch. I can remember going north towards the 287 junction where there were these awesome S-curves. I used to go through there like a maniac. And I-95 in the stretch you mention, yep, that's where we would go to see how fast our cars were. Also going over the Tappan Zee bridge as there weren't too many cops until you crossed over onto 684, which we all knew not to fuck around there too much.

Looking back, I certainly drove with a death wish on the Hutch/Merritt Pky. There was no room to stop on the off ramps, and some had a 90 degree turn right off the parkway. I left that area in 1990 and have only been back a few times. Each time I drive on the Hutch I can't believe how narrow and unforgiving it can be.

Back in the 90's, the traffic was much more manageable where you had Route 8 through the Naugatuck Valley into Bridgeport, the I-95 New Haven to the NY border corridor, and of course 15 (Merritt/Hutch).

Today, too many cars, too much traffic. People should have more regard for their fellow motorists, especially with cameras. Problem is law enforcement isn't interested in deterring speeding/reckless driving, or enforcing compliance with basic traffic laws.

Someone "important" would need to get killed, and then...voila, compliance and enforcement.

You can come up on the boardwalk and just meet someone like that in a split second and it can turn into a serious relationship like me and Janet, see we hooked up tonight together and I'm prolly gunna be with her for the rest of the summer, you never know what's going to happen you can stay together forever or you never know
