Amber delete

Any way to take these out? Coding or bulb removal. The amber light in the corner.

Code with BimmerCode app.

Both TMS Modules (Left & Right)

TMS_03 (Driver Headlight Module left):
>Section 3005
-Standlicht Modus 1
-Standlicht Modus 2
-Welcome Light 1 (if you want the 3 LEDs off when unlocking).

TMS_03 (Driver Headlight Module right):
>Section 3005
-Standlicht Modus 1
-Standlicht Modus 2
-Welcome Light 1 (if you want the 3 LEDs off when unlocking).

Stock (On) Amber LEDs:
00, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03, 00, 00, 2B, 04, 00, 00

change the Werte Value from 64 to 00 as follows:

Coded (Off) Amber LEDs:
00, 03, 00, 00, 00, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03, 00, 00, 2B, 04, 00, 00

Make this same change to all sections mentioned above (Standlicht Modus 1, Standlicht Modus 2, and Welcome Light 1)

Edit:

Just noticed you have a 2016 so you might have FLE ECUs instead of TMS. If so, then try this:

-To turn the side markers off, change LM_ID_LT04 and LM04_Name to F015Wert.

-To turn the side markers back on, change LM_ID_LT04 and LM04_Name back to F015Wert_SA552_SAE.

Appreciate you but I just got BimmerCode and only know English, not this coding language lol so I just used the apps setting to deactivate side marker to turn it off thanks anyway though.

I only speak English too LOL. The corners you turned off from the app only turn off the amber parking lights. The 3 little orange LEDs are different than that though. You have to access the options I mentioned above from the "Expert" menu in the app (bottom corner of the module selected) to get to the individual values for the small LEDs and change them to 00 (off). But maybe they have since added this into the Regular section of BimmerCode. The English words you are seeing on the app are just a translated version of the actual German codes that are in the car. And the app developer has only translated a minimal amount of codes. There are far more codes that can be changed in Expert mode. Just gotta find them by following the German menu options that I mentioned above.

I have the 2016 pre-LCI full adaptive led headlights (lighting package but it's pre LCI so no icon lights).

You sure the coding is the same? Gonna try it soon but maybe it's different for mine, as the new LCI lights don't have the same bulbs and stuff.

I have a 2015 M3 with full LED lighting package as well (Pre-LCI obviously), and the TMS instructions worked on my car. So it depends if your car has TMS (2015 and some 2016) or FLE (Later 2016 and newer) in your list of modules in the BimmerCode app.

My 2016 is pretty late, build date was in summer 2016 and they started 2017's basically a few weeks after, so I'm def FLE. Thanks

Hey I got TMS, so I deactivated sidemarkers and stuff before going into expert mode, but now in expert mode it's 00, 03, 00, 00, 00 (no 64).

During DRL and nighttime there is no 3 amber bulbs thankfully.

The issue is they're still there during welcome lights when I unlock the car and approach it.

Hmm interesting. I just went and checked mine and took screenshots for you. I noticed mine also had Standlicht Modus 3 coded the same as 1 and 2. So maybe Modus 3 is the welcome light option you are missing. Its worth a shot at least...

So just to recap the steps in BimmerCode:

Make sure you are coding Both Headlight Modules (Left and Right)

In Control Units, select 1 headlight at a time:

start with left headlight,

-Headlight Driver Module left (TMS_03), then select Expert
scroll up to search box and type 'Standlicht', then select:
---Standlicht Modus 1
----select F10_524_ECE or 0x00, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00
---Standlicht Modus 2
----select F10_524_ECE or 0x00, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00
---Standlicht Modus 3
----select F10_524_ECE or 0x00, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00

do the same thing for right headlight,

-Headlight Driver Module right (TMS_03), then select Expert
scroll up to search box and type 'Standlicht', then select:
---Standlicht Modus 1
----select F10_524_ECE or 0x00, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00
---Standlicht Modus 2
----select F10_524_ECE or 0x00, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00
---Standlicht Modus 3
----select F10_524_ECE or 0x00, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00

Disregard my previous post. Apparently I answered your same question on someone elses post in another thread a long time ago. There is another section where you need to edit the 64 to 00, called Welcome Light 1.

TMS03 (left)
-Choose section 3005.
-Standlicht Modus 1 and click on F10_524_ECE so there is a check mark next to it.
-Click the Back button and do the same for Standlicht Modus 2.
-Click the Back button and do the same for Welcome Light 1 (if you want the 3 LEDs off when unlocking).
-Click the Back button twice and hit Code in top right.

Repeat for TMS03 (right)

I also edited my original response with this information.

Sorry to hijack your thread but do know how to code on BMW high beam assist?

Or euro MDM in BimmerCode.
I've done a little bit if coding in the main section but have not gone into expert yet.
These are last 2 items I really want coded on my car.

I'm not sure about the High-Beam Assistant. That already came stock on my car. My turn signal lever has 2 buttons at the far left tip. One for the usual BC button, and One for the Auto High-Beam. Does your car have one button in this location? Or two?

And for Euro MDM, the developer of BimmerCode posted that it's not possible thru the app, nor can it code GTS features. But that was a post I read from 2018. Maybe he has since added it. You may want to email the developer

Yes, I have the second button.
I have a 2015, back then the car was capable of high beam assist but in the USA they were coded off.

The issue is they're still there during welcome lights when I unlock the car and approach it.

My car is also a 2015 in the U.S. and has it. Try this...

FEM_BODY Module:
3060 FLA_AKTIVIERUNG set to: werte=02
3073 C_HBA_ENA set to: F030_enable=01

HU_NBT Module:
3000 HIGH_BEAM_ASSISTANT set to: aktiv (werte=01)

Does anyone know if MY18 changed due to the Icon Headlights? When I am looking into BimmerCode I do not even see "Headlight Driver Moduel Right/Left" as an option. Only see "Front Light Electronics right/left"

Yes. You have FLE instead of TMS. I mentioned this in my first reply for people with the newer FLE modules.

For FLE ECUs:

-To turn the side markers off, change LM_ID_LT04 and LM04_Name to F015Wert.

-To turn the side markers back on, change LM_ID_LT04 and LM04_Name back to F015Wert_SA552_SAE.

I just flashed to F020_20_07_525 and the TMS modules dont show any folder names in the cafd folder . They just show folders named "." I opened a couple of them and found the same "00, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03,etc..." value in more than 4 folders... decided not to touch it...

Strange that there are no folder names. Those values should be edited in the werte box at the bottom, in these 3 locations, and don't forget to save with the button in bottom right

I just started coding and this is the first istep version im coding with. I updated all the ECUs from F020_17_03_505 istep.

I've only touched HU_NBT2, and ASD modules and didnt run into any issues like i do with TMS ECUs. Maybe i should try esys v3.33...

Honestly it's been a while since I have coded with e-sys. Ever since the BimmerCode app came out it's been much easier to do it all from my iPhone. It's all automatic and no messing with different e-sys versions. It's always up to date. I can look later to see which i-step version I have though
