Anybody using Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires on their M3/M4?
I had Michelin PS 4 S tires installed on my 2015 M4. Has anybody here put them on their M3 or M4 and if so, how do you like them?

I have them on mine and like them. I had it out on the track a couple weeks ago and they held up really well. I do have Ground Control camber plates installed though.
First set of tires only lasted 10k miles due to a number of track days. The PS4's are great though. Quiet enough on the highway and plenty grippy for most applications. They are very predictable as well when you get on the gas and try to swing that back end around. Pretty easy to do on our cars though. Anyway, I have about 6000 miles and 1 track day on them and they still have lots of life left. I think you will like them. |

I have them and to me the ride comfort has improved over the Continentals I had on my stock wheels. They also seemed quieter than the Continentals. I suggest checking out this thread for more feedback.

I have them, and they're okay. Perfect tires for rainy days and regular daily driving, but they spin like crazy on the streets with a Stage 1 tune or higher. EDIT: Fake news alert. See update below Last edited by FriedPiston; 02-14-2018 at 11:41 AM.. Reason: fake news |

My '18 CP w/666m came with MPSS and every other one on the lot had the MPSS, I'm switching to the MP4S after the reviews I've read on them.

I think I might actually be in the minority with PS4S on 666M wheels. Both F80s were acquired from the same dealer, so I'm beginning to wonder if they're doing something special. Then again, there's also this announcement from January 2017: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1311568 EDIT: Fake news alert. Every single ZCP I’ve seen has PSS, I haven’t seen any F80’s with PS4S which I why I asked.

You are likely in error and your car has PSS. Or maybe your dealer installed PS4S on your car for some reason, which I seriously doubt (please post pictures if it is the case). BMW have not yet developed a PS4S for the F8X application. It is not Michelin that is not planning to develop a star spec PS4S for the F8X, it is BMW not willing to invest further R&D money on an ageing platform. The thread you referenced is just a general statement made that the PS4S will progressively replace the PSS, just as the the PSS progressively replaced the PS2.

I also had my brother check the tires on his 2018 ZCP, and it turns out that I've been spreading fake news this whole time, as we both appear to have PSS as opposed to my delusion with PS4S. I had listed a set of 285/35/20 PS4S on here, and on other forums, and I'm thinking that's where my eyes started to deceive me that I had a set of PS4S on the factory 666M wheels. So my apologies to everyone for spreading false information. I was in the wrong here. |

I got a flat tire today and called local tire company and they said they’re ill be doing away with the pss tires and they will only have ps4s in future and they also said they might keep the pss tires pacifically for the bmw’s and only sell to bmw so I will be going with the 4s tires I’ve heard there better too. So heads up
