You guys are a tough crowd!

I haven't bought CD's in probably over 10 years, but just bought a few on Black Friday at Best Buy at $6.99 a pop. Figured they would sound better than MP3 versions anyway and I could still rip them onto my hard drives.

Well, now I know. Gonna be buying from Amazon from now on. They sell the physical CD's and gives you the digital version for free. Best solution.

OK, serious answer. I believe you can import them into itunes, then burn a playlist on to CDR as an MP3 disc. Then try importing that into your car...

Yeah, +1, although I think you can skip the CDR step and just burn them to a USB drive.

And, of course, you don't need to use iTunes, just need to rip the song, pick your encoding method (I can't remember all that are supported but I think AAC might be), and go.

If you want CD quality then you need to use .WAV - I would love it if someone knows if BMW supports .WAV. The downside is the files can be huge since there's no encoding, but the upside is CD quality.

Anyway,

(1.) Rip to PC/Mac
(2.) convert or upon Rip/Import to desired quality/format (.mp3, .aac, .wav, .flac in quality order, worst to best)
(3.) Burn those files to a USB stick
(4.) import into BMW
(5.) Rock out with your (Ariana Grande? Hmm ... ) out

Lol to be honest, I would've died if caught on public looking that girly. My mother sent me a picture of me after the army, while growing my hair back. My Stingray didn't come with a CD/DVD Player. Satellite, USB, Bluetooth, SD Card is the way music is played these days.

You can burn the CDs straight to the cars hard drive without any problem. No need for all the intermediate steps. Just put the CD in and use the iDrive to copy the CD to the hard drive. Easy process
