I'd been looking to get camber plates for my M4 fitted for some time but as I'd heard varying reports about noise from all of them I'd held off. I use the car a lot for road and fitting coilovers had already increased road noise on UK road surfaces.

Then I heard that Millway were making a street camber plate, that doesn't use the Motorsport monoball typical of the currently available ones.

So a few days ago I had them fitted along with full suspension set up, including corner weighting. I now have a Road set up with 1.5 degrees camber up front and can alter myself to Track settings or almost 3 degrees whilst keeping the toe in a decent place in both settings.
Have a track day in a couple of weeks so will see just how much it helps the front tyres save the outer edges.
Also have pretty much perfect corner weights now with almost mm perfect ride heights all round.

We went for these settings as set to minimum camber they're even both sides and pretty much standard for a factory car, so seemed ideal for road and daily usage. I can then move them to the marked settings and know that my toe is still in a good place.

Perhaps each is a little compromised, but will see how it goes.

Also, what was pleasing is that we got everything where we wanted with cross weights and alignment with a nice, almost millimeter symmetry all round. The right side is 1mm higher than the left and even front to back both sides.

Corner weight configuration?

I assume your car is RHD. Were you sitting in the car during corner weight? Also how much gas in tank, and did you remove anything like floor mats, trunk floor piece, or tool tray?

Thanks for the info, enjoy your car on the Scotland roads and tracks!

Yes RHD, which makes corner weighting more difficult as it's designed as a LHD car, with certain components, for example the battery placed on the right hand side.

The fuel tank was full, everything else emptied. We decided to do it with driver plus passenger as half the time I'm in track I have one of my friends with me. And I just don't drive that hard for it to matter!

These are excellent plates. I got mine on a few weeks ago and running with -2.5deg camber at the track was massively better than -1.6deg. The negiligible noise increase has been very appreciated too.

These don't make any noise? Do they work with other coilovers?

What are the negative aspects of this type of plates in relation to GC?

Cost me around £400 to buy in the UK. Fitting takes place without removing the damper, so only takes 1- 1.5 hours.

They don't make any more noise than the standard top mounts on my car. No knocking or clunks.
I run AC Scnitzer RS coilovers, which are effectively KW v3. Changing from stock suspension to ACS RS gave me more general road noise on bad road surfaces (of which there are a lot of in the UK), but no change with these plates.

I'm not sure what others could be used, best asked directly to Millway.

I can't say what the pros and cons would versus GC ones, but I understand they use a monoball, which is more likely to have noise, hence why I've waited for something like this to be available.

Cool thanks. Interested in hearing about your track experience with these. If anything I'm interested in them just to dial in my left to right camber to a cool -2.0.

Same here, and I like that I can have a near perfect road setting and a near perfect track setting. I already change the damper settings and the brake pads for track, so this will just become another part of the routine.

The noise increase is negligible. I got one of those phone app SPL meters and then calibrated my phone's mic to a calibrated mic, from my office, in the car to take before/after measurements. The plates added ~2dBA on avg (barely perceptible).

Millway makes a 60mm adapter plate for use with coilovers.

I've used them twice on track now. One was a wet day and with -2,45 camber the braking was interesting!

Second day was a wet morning and then dried late morning and for the rest of the day. I used my Pilot Super Sports due to the conditions, rather than the Cup2s I have. I did a lot of laps, almost 200miles, and was super impressed. The front tyres were in so much better condition at the end of the day, with much less outer edge wear than before. I wrecked a set of fronts last year doing half the miles, with outer edges almost literally torn, but nothing at all like that here.
What was also good was the tyre temps and hence pressures also didn't go as high as before, so longer stints are possible before the tyres go off it seemed like.

The handling was great too, really sharp and precise front end, but seems to get better the more lock you need.

For road use still no additional noises, either road noise or clunks.

Very happy and thoroughly recommend.

Are there any significant draw backs in performance between plates that use monoball bushing vs not?

I don't see why there would be any issues in winter. In winter for road use your can run them more upright and have a better contact patch for braking. High negative camber in low grip conditions makes it very easy to trigger the ABS.
