Help - False Warning Messages

Hi Everybody,

Thanks for the help in advance.

I drive a '16 F82. I let it sit for a five-month period at my family's while I was out of town. They started it fairly regularly (I think / hope), but really wasn't driven as it normally would.

About 2.5 months in my family said my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree, all sorts of errors.

Upon return, they were not wrong. I'm having errors pop in and out randomly, everything from differential locked, to ABS not working, to front left headlight fault.

After taking it out for a drive, I am pretty confident that these errors are false, and not real mechanical issues ie. it tells me my seatbelt isn't on when it was, headlights working, so is ABS since I was bold and tested it on an empty road.

Do you guys have any idea whats going on?

Thanks!

Update: The rear right wheel speed sensor was faulty. Cost about 1/4 of a battery replacement.

Sounds like a battery issue or rats had a buffet of wiring.

Have you read codes/cleared codes?

Hopefully its a low battery issue. Do you have a lithium battery tender? I would highly reccommend.

You will need to get the codes read and cleared. If you dont have the tools, maybe ask if anyone in your local region can help you out.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the responses.

I did not have a lipo battery tender, in hindsight, terrible idea.

I had the codes cleared by a local shop. They popped back about five seconds after leaving their parking lot. I'm taking it to a shop this weekend, I'll report back with information once they figure it out.

Thanks!
