HOLY SH!T!!!!!! This is like when I saw the E46 for the first time. I was over ///M's until I saw this beautiful creature. I guess I might hold off on the Tesla S. This thing is great.

lol @ USAToday
http://www.usatoday.com/story/driveo...mw-m4/2658441/ "BMW unveils new M4 performance sedan" Anyway, this thing is outrageous, I can't see the production model being any different from this "Concept", it's nothing like the Concept 4-Series was... this one has production style mirrors, door handles, headlights... One thing I can see them changing for production is the exhaust tips, those just looks too insane for an OEM application, in a good way though, I'd actually love to see all this go into production. One thing Im puzzled about is the deal with the body codes, why is this F80, and the 4-Series is F32? |

Besides, anything from M has Motorsports history behind it. That's like saying the S1000RR doesn't have racing heritage behind it...the bike itself doesn't, but bikes before it have. |

I want real photos! This still looks very processed and "render" like (possibly why people think there are no apparent fender flares compared to the 4).

I hope this isn't all we are getting today? The pictures sure are nice but isn't there going to be some technical info as well? Jason, Scott is this it for today?

Now a thrilling experience due to a high redline and wonderful sound is much less certain (and certainly those will be inferior, unfortunately).

After it's available I will decide whether or not the M4 will replace my e92 M3. Until then it's just another set of pretty pictures on the Internet.

It's strange seeing the red reflectors in the rear bumper. This is usually something reserved for the lower models.

I will be the first to admit that its easy to "throw stones" once a new M is announced. In the end the new car is a, on paper, measurable improvement over all previous generations. That being said, this is a digital M3 when all previous generations were mostly analogue. I miss NA motors in these cars and I am sad to see them go. I will also miss simplicity... These new generation of Ms are very complex and thus you have to question the longevity, read reliability, of this platform.

I agree that it would be a step backwards, but it won't have LED turn signals in the rear. The E46 LCI had LED rears and then they were pulled for the E92 debut. Same thing is happening here: E92 LCI has LCD rears, and they're being pulled for the F32/82.

It kinda annoys me that my F10 M5 has floating calipers on the rear brakes when even the new M3 has 4-pots...
Car looks sweet, but as it happened to the E9x I think the sedan will look better, these coupes are too sleek, can't match the stance of the E46. Can't wait for the engine specs! |
