There seems to be a rather clear dissatisfaction with the OEM stock PSS size.
A whopping 85% so far would go with a different size. A significant majority (45%) opting for the 275-295/35R19 combo.

It would be interesting to hear from anybody who has replaced the stock tires with non BMW spec sizes which have more tread width, both front and rear.

Do you think a 275/35 is going to fit up front? I assume you are not lowered at all?
I would buy new wheels to support the wider tires but that is just me.

So I finally pulled the trigger. I ordered a set of 295/35R19 PSS. I corded my fronts on the outer shoulders at a 3 day track event last fall and the cord is starting to show more and more. Time for new tires.
Need 10~14 days for the tires to get here and get them installed. Looking forward to trying them out and will post feedback and pics here .

Looking forward to the feedback! I am waiting for my fronts to be more worn so I can do the same thing! Did you get the BMW-specific PSS, or the generic one?

Since I am putting my rear 275s up front, they will also be BMW specific. But regardless, when it will be time to replace, I will likely stick with the BMW specific 275 in front because the generic 275 seems to be designed more as a rear tire with rather thin water evacuation grooves.

this seems like an excellent option since the OEM 19's look so damn good. |

Since the speedo is already optimistic, going to a larger tire will simply make it less optimistic .

I changed out my stock PSS's to 275/295 30 19 Yokohoma AD008R's and I am quite well surprised they are working great as a everyday & trackday tire. Not much noisier than stock with only a little more impact harshness which are both a bit of a surprise. On the track they give tons of grip with lots of feedback and did not fall off in an extended aggressive session.I think this is the best dual purpose tire that I have tried!

Do note that the poll is specifically for PSS sizes though . I would be a little concerned running 275/30R19 PSS in the front as they seem to be designed specifiaclly as a rear tire with rather thin water evacuation grooves.

oops!Forgot about that! Actually that is one of my concerns about the 008R is wet weather traction especially as wear starts to happen but the dry traction makes up for that.

OK, finally made the switch to the 275-295/35 setup last week. I added a review in the OP.

If they are in the same 255-275/35R19 size as the OEM, look at the table in my OP. The non-specific (generic) offer a 0.7" wider contact patch front and rear. The generic rears also have thinner grooves in the thread and therefore have more rubber on the road compared to the specific 275/35R19 PSS.
