The ATS-V handles well, has great brakes, good looks, nice seats if you get the recaros. The issue is that 8 speed auto. The transmission blows especially if you like the manually shift when you drive your car in a spirited way. The car with a 6 speed would be a better car in my opinion. The M4 is a much better car all around though.

I am relatively young (25) but here goes

2002 BMW 330i ZHP (When I was 16 and still to this day, this car rocked, my parents got rid of it when I went to school in NYC - I still miss it dearly). Bought in 2011 and sold in 2014.
2009 BMW 328i Coupe, most basic and cheapest spec available. Bought in 2018 and sold in 2019.
2009 BMW 335i Convertible, wanted the same car, but faster, lots of fun, unreliable. Bought in 2019 and sold in 2019.
2007 Porsche 911 Carrera - incredibly reliable, tons of accessible fun without being at (go to jail speeds). Bought late 2019, sold last Monday, February 2, 2021. I will miss this car, but it was time.

JUST picked up on MONDAY a 2015 BMW M4, Mineral Grey, full extended leather and carbon ceramics = my dream spec.
