Doooo ittttt! You guys in the US can get up to almost 14% off doing ED!

(We don't save anything unfortunately.)

I have a current gen M3 on order, but it only goes into production in a few months. I hate purchasing the first model year of anything, but I'm seriously liking what I'm seeing here a bit too much.... :confused head:

See the newest video yet? What eyes, and what a stance....

Check european delivery threads and info here. Yes.

Invoice on ED cars is 14% off MSRP of non-ED cars. Many have gotten for a small amount over invoice.

Pays for a nice vacation in Europe driving the autobahn, the Alps, Nurburgring, etc. after you pick up your car there.

Ugh... the car really sounds terrible. I hope BMW does some SERIOUS acoustical tuning. And it better be all mechanical -- no active engine noise or any shameful thing like that.

oh what!!!!! I thought ED has no limitation to what country a person is from.
The rule of thumb is to always skip the first year of production; too many bugggggssss. Second year should be good to go.
I saw the video, but too much background noise. I will have to wait for a better video clip.

As much as I want to think BMW won't do the M3 wrong (historical reasons), I would not be surprised if the M3 got the same sound as the M5.

Wow it sounds awful. May look and drive great but the v8 in this current gen e9x is pure art. Hopefully I can pick up a '12 in 4 years for a nice cpo price.

Dont worry. It arrives in European markets in September 2013, And will probably be in the US the next Spring (along with the Cabrio).
An M car is never launched whilst the other models variants have not arrived on the market.

So there is plenty of time to fine tune noise development , as well as other key points that make the M3 the car that it is.

Scott, thank-you!!

When you say "other model variants", do you mean the non-M variants of the series, such as the (non-M) coupe and convertible?

Scott,

You mean the F33 Cabrio will be in the US next spring, NOT the F83. Right?

True, I'm sure it'll be just as awesome.

As a kid I loved the e46 and hated the e92 when I first saw it... now it's my all time favorite haha

I just have high hopes, as Im sure everyone does

with the radiator and bracings/brackets (?) looking just like the 335i, there is a high likelihood that it is I6 based
Well the intercooler is easily visible, but are those really just brake ducts at the front or channeling for additional
cooling?

You're right. I woke up this morning and thought, "What the heck was I thinking??" I've had a couple of bad experiences with 1st year models of things... and great experiences with later year models of cars. Much as I love the direction the F80 M3 is going, I'm going to stick with my original plan...

Sounds terrible, they sound have gone with an inline 6 tt(or 3 the triple design) over a v6 with turbos.

I really hope they do some exhaust work and make it sound good, and if they have the active sound thing then the car is a complete fail.

Im pretty sure its a v6, think of an s63 with 2 of its cylinders no longer there lol
S63 4.4l and 8 cyl. 4.4/8 then do that times 6 for the new m3 = 3.3l
So it should be around that size if they designed it similar to the s63.

Yeah, I am pretty sure he meant the F33, not the F83. But to be clear, what he was saying was the next spring after its reveal in September 2013, meaning spring 2014.

F82 and F83 M4 won't show up until late 2014 at the earliest, and probably won't be on sale in the US until 2015.

The 4er Coupe and M3 Sedan is launched (not in US model year, but actual year) 2013 and given the summer release will possibly show at the IAA that September.
With the 4er Coupe and Cabrio being months apart . The 4er Coupe will definitely be in the US by the close of 2013. Meaning that the 4er Cabrio and M3 Sedan will be available in the US by Spring 2014.
The Gran Coupe 4er is expected in mid-2014. With the M appearing later in2015.

M4 Coupe and Cabrio will arrive in late 2014(Europe) early 2015(US.etc) on the market when you take in launch cycles.
