Military sales dealer said they hope to begin deliveries in late April or early March, but it's all speculation at this point...

At this moment, deliveries before June 21st are out of discussion. At least in Germany. And I have strong reasons to believe this will not change.

Did anybody else see that thread on front page where this dealer confirmed ED orders will be coming out of US dealer allocations then he went on to say they won't be coming out of allocation anymore starting september per his source?

So my dealer said they don't expect to get their allocations until "July or August (for the sedan)" They have an M3 that isn't spoken for yet (the 2 M4's already have deposits)...I'm thinking of pulling the trigger but then I would pull my hair out waiting for it!

Jason, we are past the middle of February and still nothing. Any inkling as to when we can expect to see something. Although not your fault that timeline is worthless. I appreciate your insight and look forward to seeing something soon.

So customer cars production starts at the end of April and its mid march and no allocations. Of the cars ive ordered before I sure remember more time for orders before production. Isnt there a few weeks before production that it gets locked and you can not alter?

My point is that it seems like the dates are probably slipping, and customer cars wont reach dealers until after the beginning of July at the earliest

Ive got 2 M4's on order, one release car ordered two months ago, and a regular order, placed several weeks ago. they're identical except for light/dark wheels. Both are configured with the release car specs that BMW offered to the dealers some time before I signed up for the release car. The interesting part is that they're both being built this week. My guess is that cars that are specced as BMW first offered them to the dealers are built sooner, probably because they set up parts availability for those option packages earlier, (or) to keep the production line less complicated in the early stages.

- Press drives will be in the first half of June
- First delivery date (including European Delivery) is in the third week of June (subject to change due to EPA certification)
