Just started the tuning process with Bend. Will take a good amount of time. I'm guessing around 12-15 revisions (their process is very meticulous and in small increments). It's possible too that I'm the first person running the combo of upgraded turbos, EU5, Dorch lift kit, and the new PR Stage 3 brushless LPFP. The LPFP is the unknown as it's truly drop in (no regulator or return) and uses the factory EKP.

Only thing to note so far is that with the turbos and all the fueling upgrades, if feels like there's actually a top end! Really wanted that as I'm coming from a supercharged E92 M3.

Quick update:

Pump tuning pretty much finished up and first logs with E30 looking good. Tires breaking loose at the top of 3rd and a lot of power left. Will eventually have to limit power as we climb with E85. It's definitely looking like there's potential beyond what the stock rods can handle. All without PI or meth, and factory knock tables.

Yep. Going to need new tires asap if I want to run anything more than pump and hook in 3rd.

Once all tuning is done I'll probably run it between E35-45 most of the time.

Are you going to stay on the 666s?

Reaaallly want to since I'm all about OEM+. Was originally planning 295 Cup Connects, but not sure if those will even hook in 3rd. If I don't stick with the 666m I'll go with either Richland GT4 or Titan7 T-S5 since they are both are exact/similar to 763m and can fit 305s.

I've got the 285 * spec Cup connects in the rear right now (20x10 like your 666s) - very grippy, gonna do some back roads this weekend and another track day in a month to really maximize the grip potential. You can fit the 295s but it'll bulge a little… I'd definitely stay away from any 295s that run wide. I'm only running the 19/20 setup because I can't bring myself to sell the 763s even tho I want to because BMW stock wheels for F8X are pretty undersized in width... the RF GT4s, Titan TS-5s are much more friendly at 9.5/10.5 widths. Apex VS-5RS is another great options with even more sizes than RF or Titan.

If you're looking to hook then it's probably worthwhile down sizing your wheels - more compliance for a better hook and better tire selection as well.

LMK how they do! I'm not too worried with 295s on the 666m and I'll likely go with Cup Connects in whatever size I end up with.

The car will be 99% street driven, so definitely sticking with 20s even if that does cost some in traction. Oddly enough, there are a lot of sticky tire options in 20s for the rear, but almost nothing matching for the fronts. 19f/20r has a lot of options.

Oh, these weren't on my radar at all! They only made 18s and 19s. However, looks like they are releasing the VS-5RS in F: 20x9.5 5x120 +22 / R: 20x11 5x120 +44 in August! Same sizes and ET as both the Titan7 and Richland. That setup will accommodate a 265 or 275 front with 305 rear. Will keep them on my radar, but seems they will run a bit more expensive.

Haha very brave with the 20s around our neck of the woods. My rears will probably be a little bent by the time I replace my tires. But yah, that 20x9in front is super limiting Cup2s will make a massive difference in the driving experience tho. If you do get into a 19/20 setup, there are some noticeable benefits on the street - more settled front end, better contact patch, and better tire selection.

Small Update: Tuning is going great. Up to E60 now with lots of fueling headroom still left.

Back in the shop in about a week for Mosselman oil thermostat, and brake pads and fluid. Also picked up the billet Paradigm Engineering oil filter cap to match the billet Mosselman thermostat housing with titanium hardware.

Thanks! And same. Haha. Waiting for my Wagner front mount to arrive, then it's install time for:

Wagner front mount
Front pads and sensors
Rear pads and sensors
Brake fluid flush
Mosselman thermostat
Paradigm cap

…and maybe SPL toe links with lockouts. 🤔 (traction is a problem)

Tuning should wrap up around the same time. Then on the dyno and maybe some photos with a real camera. Figure in the next month or so.

New stickier/wider tires in August and possibly wheels (need more wide!). That should mostly wrap up the build. Riiight.

Quick test. MDM on and cutting throttle while the poor 285 PS4S spinning 3rd/4th.

Not too shabby for no PI, no meth, no traction, and all the computer nannies. With any traction seems like 5s will be no problem.

Wow! Can't say I've been a big fan of mint colored cars but I also can't say I've seen a Mint F82... this color is gorgeous! The black & carbon accent it quite well, loving it & can't wait for more pics.

Added some functional engine jewelry - Mosselman billet oil thermostat with titanium hardware and Paradigm Engineering billet oil cap.

Also new brake pads, sensors, Stoptech stainless brake lines, Motul brake fluid, and SPL aluminum/titanium rear toe links with eccentric lockouts.

Up next week - alignment and Wagner front mount heat exchanger.

You should go to ask Mosselman for sponsorship
Exquisit color, saw last time a G82 into same. But man, your car value must have went more then the double price for just the car. Did your insurance are covering your expensive mods or the car ready modified into full manner?

Thanks! I think I got a pretty fair deal on the price of the car considering the market. It only had a few mods when I purchased it. As for insurance, it's just a regular, stock M4 to them.
