Depends on equipment, DCT or not, etc. Mid 40s, probably, if manual and with Executive pkg. and otherwise not molested.

It's worth about 48~50K according to KBB if sold to a private party if it has a DCT.

The car has exec and ZCP.

Trade in value is about 43~48K.

For some reason Carbon Brakes aren't selectable as an option for the car for some reason on KBB LOL.

I had similar thoughts. Depends on the options on the car. Also, while clean carfax is nice, Carfax only catches a percentage of accidents. A lot of cars seem to have clean carfax despite accident damage. So, I would check that out as well.

Anyways, I'd fall somewhere close to $40k flat.

Did you mean $50k? No way that car goes for $40k unless serious prior damage/other issues. The only M4s I see going anywhere around $40k are all 15/16s with no options/high miles.

Even $50k I'd consider a deal for that car now.

I was thinking the same. 2017 with only 23k miles. From what I see online, that car is worth well north of 50k.

Does the NJ registration show Woodcliff Lake? If so it might have been a performance driving school car.

I concur that cars listed for sale are well north of 50, but few if any of them are actually getting sold.

I prefer instead to look at completed auctions (BaT, C&B, eBay) and that's a better indication of actual transactions.

I hear you. Not saying "I am the market" or "I am 100% correct, the only correct answer." Just saying what I would pay. The market is changing rapidly in a downward direction, so I wouldn't want to be caught holding the bag on a car unless it's something I plan to keep for a long time. Also, it looked to me like the car has had a lot of mods done to it. Could be aftermarket turbos, etc., based on what you can see (Canards, extra wing, etc.). That should take the value down from "regular market value," IMO. Also, sunroof... which is a negative in my book.

+1 on the closed auctions comment.
