Help w/ BMW Connected App please

Hello everyone,

Can anyone in here able to lock the doors of their M3/M4 using "Remote Services" and the BMW Connected app?

Yep

Try to use the web app and see if that works.
If that works, then it means the phone app is to blame... If the webapp, then it means that something else is happening (like configuration issue or something).

I'd try to remove the car and add it again in any case, and see if that works

Yes.
Alarm will not be set an mirrors don't fold (by design), but locking/unlocking works fine.

Things I can do with the ConnectedDrive Android app on my Samsung S8 and my Samsung Tab S3, and my 2016 M4:

Lock/unlock doors
Flash headlights
Honk horn
Locate Vehicle
Ventilate now
Start the Ventilate Timer
Send locations to the car

You also need to have a good connection to your car. If you are parked in some parking lot in a building and you are trying to lock your doors, floors above your car... it won't work since it cannot reach the car.

I've got an S8 too and can do the above (except honk horn) but can't get the Info tab to show Average speed and Mileage. Is there a trick to it or isn't information available on the Android App (although I can't think of any real reason why I can't wait before I get to the car to find that sort of information out)?

I have the Android App and the Info Tab shows current mileage and range. Average speed isn't listed as something that's suppose to be displayed when selecting the car. I'm using version 5.0.0.4078

https://connecteddrive.bmwusa.com/cd...let/sendMyInfo lets you send points of interest to your car.

You can also setup your car at google.com/maps/sendtocar to send directly from google maps. Unlike the first link this system isn't as useful if you have multiple cars since it doesn't let you pick which car to send the information to.

I don't think the other features are available via the website. In general you can also test your car's modem by initiating an SOS call from the car itself.

I'm using the same version. On my Info screen there were two columns but I don't remember what they were, and the information below was blank. On the Remote screen it says "Connect USB to update vehicle status". When I did that the Info screen now displays "No status available" and the two columns went away.

On my Activity screen I have a "Fuel Low" notification. I've never noticed this before. I'm at about 1/4 tank right now. When I go out later today I'll fill up and see if that notification goes away.

I think I did some sort of update on Connected Drive and it's now working. The lock and unlock door feature using remote services now is working for me.

I just looked at my ConnectedDrive app since my last post. I've had to run some short errands but I never did get a fill-up. Now the app says I have 4 gallons and a range of 73 miles. I've never seen that before!
