Velvet Blue M4 Competition with Opal White Leather
 Featured on BIMMERPOST.com My car is unusual for Germany as it comes with manual transmission. More than 95% of all M3/M4 over here come with DKG. In fact this is the first manual I have seen. I fell in love with that colour when I first saw it on an E46 M3 in the UK some years ago and have since seen it on several E39 M5. So I took the risk and ordered it blindly, in favour over Interlagos Blue and San Marino Blue, which would have been my 2nd choices. The last first one (in the dark) is after driving home through rain, spending almost 2 hours in stationary traffic ... quite annoying to be only allowed to go 105 mph in the first 2.000km watching all the 2 Liter Golf Diesels go past you ... Here I am washing it, to prepare the treatment with Chemical Guys JetSeal 109. I always treat all my cars with that sealant, especially when winter is apporaching.

Here some details of the interior, Opal White with full leather option and leather dash (which is an individual order here). The white leather is absolutely stunning, so pleased I stuck to my original choice. I was a bit weary that it might stain easily. But thanks to Jeremy Clarkson I know the solution: Just wear white linen suits from now on.

Of course the next morning it was raining again ... alas after all I could take a picture to show how the colour changes in different conditions. The car really is a stunner in that colour, for me there is no other colour quite like this. It has so many different facets from dark blue to purple. Even at BMW in Berlin all the employees were asking for this colour which even in that large outlet (here BMW has direct settlements in large cities rather than dealership) it was the first one they had in velvet blue.

I have seen the M4 CS - the special edition for Spain - here in Madrid, where I stay over Christmas with the family of my girlfriend. Here are pictures in San Marino and in White metallic. It looks like it is not really a good seller, since both BMW dealers I have seen had one for sale in the showroom. The price tag is quite steep, I don't know the Spanish prices but it comes at more than 130k Euros, which is almost 50k Euros more than I paid for mine! I quite like the wing though and the other performance parts. Might add these parts as modifications. The only thing I would not get is the front splitter. In European roads that will hit the surface or the curbs to easily. Although it does look sexy... |

very nice indeed!! is it me or does the M4 sit slightly higher over the rear arches compared to the M3? my car is stock and I have little to no gap over the rear tyres...
