Anyone else having a heck of a time trying to source tires???

I just purchased a set of Apex VS-5RS wheels, (18x10 front, 18x11 rear) and I'm trying to get some 100 treadwear tires for the rears. I must've spent over 90 mins on the phone today with various vendors, all over the United States, trying to source any super sticky tire in a 305/35/18 dimension.

Toyo R888R, Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S, and Nitto NT555r2 appear to basically be the only tires even made in that size, and all 3 are domestically nonexistent. Holy moly lol.

Any good suggestions for us normal folk other than endlessly perusing Discount Tire/Tire Rack/Walmart, etc looking for something in stock?

That's why I stock up. I've got four 305/30/19 and two 285/30/19 Pilot Sport Cup 2s (180 tread wear) sitting in my home office ready to go for the rest of this season.

try 295/35/18 RE71RS.

I have them mounted on 18x11 and are very good tires.

*oops just checked those sizes aren't available on Tirerack

Intresting I couldn't get OEM tires from BMW for 3 months, but couldnt wait any longer ordered on tire rack's website and had them shipped (next day) to a tire place I never heard of. Tire place suggested by Tire Rack based on location.. Having them put on tomorrow.. Kinda interesting

I'm almost convinced running a 19x11 or 19x10.5 rear is the way to go. 296/35/18 and 305/35/18 are a pita to find and match. 305/30/19 works much better imo
