CCB effect on resale?

Will a car with CCB be worth less at resale than a car with steel? I am thinking that the CCB replacements will cost so much that it will be taken into consideration and will reflect against the cars value.

If the rotors are trashed then it's a substantial liability. Soon we'll have CCB sized steel rotors to replace the oem CCBs, buyers will like big calipers and rotor w/o the big replacement cost.

If Porsche is a comparison, PCCB cars get a reasonable premium over steel but no where near the original cost of the option...and that's if the rotors are in priss shape. Keep in mind that oem steel Porsche brakes are already very very good, less of a gap (same calipers/piston count if that matters, rotors very close to same size) between steel and ceramic than with what BMW offers on the M3/4.

I'm thinking they will help resale. They definitely do on the P cars, and I'm thinking a pretty small percentage of M3/4 buyers will opt for the 8k brakes on a 75k car. 10% increase for brakes lol.

I'm hoping that in a couple years, CCBs will be available similar to how the ZCP brakes were available on the e46 m3's for significantly cheaper than when the model was released.

I just added them to my build this 65k car is now a 90K car.

Depends on the mileage. If you're selling a car with 80K miles on it I would say that CCB's are a deterrent.

I only put 5k a year on a car so I think I will be ok. I think having the bigger calipers will open more options in the long run. I am hoping that there will eventually be steel rotors that will be able to replace the CC rotors.

I want CCB's mainly for the larger hardware,
I'm pretty sure there will be/ there are steel replacements

halfway done with my lease and thinking about next steps... car has been an absolute blast to drive..

CCB will be worth more, but not the original premium they went for at MSRP, probably a few thousand over steel. You can now buy the M2C rotors for CCB. Those that track regularly will want Steel.
