Random cold start issues with EVENTURI

As per title I get random cold start issues with my EVENTURI intake. 90% of the time it's perfect but the odd time it starts lumpy ,cause a stutter when I first pull off or cause the car to almost stall when I first pull off. Seems very random and can be fine for weeks then randomly play up.
Seems worse if I stop and restart while engine is not fully earned up also.

It's fine with oem intake but I like the EVENTURI and the noise. Can't spot any leaks or issues with install and it's not a huge issue just very annoying.

Anyone else had the same with EVENTURI or aftermarket intake ?

Garage List
2018 BMW M4 ZCP  [10.00]
A lot of aftermarket intakes on this platform are known to cause issues, cold starts and idling problems among them.

Aside from getting a custom tune and having the intakes compensated for in some way, it's generally the accepted price you pay with these cars.

Can't tell for sure what's going on without checking the car but as MJ6 said, a rough idle with an aftermarket tune is not uncommon

It happens because the MAF sensor does not give accurate readings at idle/low speed. The problem gets worse when the weather is cooler outside.

I am working through this issue now with stock intakes, BMC filters and full E85. Running E85 makes this issue way worse.

My tuner and I are testing the car using speed density mode. I have pulled out my MAF sensor connectors for this purpose.

One interesting thing is that the G8X M3/M4 does not have any MAF sensors at all. Everything is speed density based on the new generation.

mine does it too. Runs like crap when cold when you first start it.

Sounds almost like an aggressive cam.
