Shit if you don't look past the camo, the front end looks like a "smaller version" of the 7-series.

Anyway, I can't wait for the unveiling of this bad boy.

John Sibal, we need your rendering. Your 1M coupe rendering was pretty close to the production model 1M.

For what it's worth, I highly doubt that the M3 Concept will be at Geneva 2013. The E92 M3 will still be in production at that time and BMW surely won't ruin their late E92 M3 sales by showing the successor already. I rather think that the F80 M3 Concept will be shown at Frankfurt 2013.

Best regards,
south
South don't you think that since this will only be the sedan Scott is referring to it wont be as much of a problem to debut the M3 since the M3 sedan would have been out of production for 2 years? The E92 and E93 would be out of production by the time the M4 debuts which would solve the problem.

Awesome job,

Missing pieces of the puzzle:

1. Side view mirrors (any guesses on this one?)

2. Front grill (IMO will probably match the M6's double spoke design... if you refer back to Scott26s post about the X4M, his sketch also features this design)

3. Rear spoiler/exhaust design

4. Carbon fibre roof?

5. Performance brakes?

6. N54/55 variant?

Indeed I have, and save for the inner outline of the center intake, they certainly don't look the same:

I will have a four-door just so I can take my toddler in baby car seat out for a spin *completely serious*

That's awesome, I haven't seen it in person yet but thought I was the only one who thought this thing was ridiculous looking. Of course, I'm not a fan of the 1 series in general. If performance and power can be intentionally restrained as to not cannibalize cars further up the lineup, surely design can too. BMW corporate to designers: "yeah, if we're going to give the 1er the same engines as the 3, and smaller and lighter, and cheaper, you better make it ugly."

Am I the only one that misses the e9x m3 rear view mirrors?
I love the whole handles that stick out and makes it different from a regular 3

When I was at my dealer recently, I saw the PSS tires on the new M6. Based on my ED and local sightings of temp tag new M cars, there's a pretty strong bias towards PSSs and P-Zeros in lieu of the previous OEM standard PS2s and Contis. That's just an inference from my observations.

I love those mirrors as well, but what I hate is that on cars with the folding mirrors, the top "handle" doesn't do anything. It's just there with a gap in it. From a distance it looks great, but knowing that it is superfluous ruins it for me.

Hopefully that's to record programming for a new BMW radio station - not all of us are fortunate enough to have F10 M5s.

The mirrors seen here (from the F30 3 Series) are for testing purposes only. The production model will see sportier mirrors (see how the F10 M5 mirrors compare to the 5 Series).

Definitely, I can bet it will have them similar to 1M, the question is will it have them in the rear as well and if not it will not look proportional.

It shows that there will be M6 front design details as well.
