Turner exhaust

Has anyone tried the new Turner Motorsport valved cat-back exhaust? Any sound clips available? It might be an inexpensive start to modify the S55 sound and with some performance gains. What do you guys think?

Thanks! It almost sounds like the stock system, but with less weight and less cats.

It sounds awesome in the video. I want to hear cold start and idle videos before pulling the trigger.

Sounds great. Wonder if the car in the video has any other mods to it.

$1500 for a cat back is pretty appealing.

Not sure of the specs yet, but I'm sure it'll be lighter than stock

They are on sale now for $1292.95, I believe

There has to be a catch at that price Definitely intrigued though. Wish we could get a review or more sound clips.

Not to hijack your thread, but have your heard of Remark Exhaust? I stumbled across theirs several weeks ago. Made a thread here but didn't get much traction.

Never heard of Remark, but it looks good in photos and the video. It's double the cost of Turner though and that doesn't include midpipes. Usually Turner Motorsport has a great reputation and they pride themselves on the racing success and heritage of their BMW race team, so I wouldn't think the product they would put out to be inferior. With that said, you usually get what you pay for at the end... my thought was that it's hard to make the S55 audibly pleasing, so this exhaust might be worth the gamble with relatively minimal financial risk.

Looks like the rear can is just $1073.51 for those that have a single mid pipe..... but no idea if it lines up with stock mids. Would have to ask....

This is priced similar to the Megan racing exhaust...maybe same source? Usually Turner (ECS who owns them) make quality products

Very good points and I agree. I'm glad you posted this because it has definitely made me step back and consider this option as well. Can't beat the price. I just hate to be the 1st to order one of these lol

based on the photos, looks like this might be able to pair with the AA single/EL midpipes

In which case, you could just mate either mid section to the stock muffler and be done with it and save the money. In this video, I honestly can't hear the difference between stock and this exhaust. Maybe Turner is a tad louder, but not by much. I think the microphone used to record these clips did a lot more to improve both exhaust notes than the exhaust did.

This is the first exhaust video I've listened to where I think the stock exhaust sounds great with no excuses. I'm wiling to bet the microphone is the reason for that.

Emailed Turner and they confirmed the axle back exhaust will pair up to the AA mid. Only asked about the single pipe, since that’s what I have, and not EL.

Sounds just like the stock muffler but more pronounced and louder... and only $1,000 for the muffler??? Steal of a deal. Very tempted to hook one up to my EL midpipe - stock muffler already sounds fantastic but this looks likely to sound as good with less weight

I'm surprised there hasn't been a review on the forums about this exhaust. Seems promising.

Can't offer any insight on the exhaust specifically, but since they don't get much visibility here, I wanted to throw in a general thumbs up for Turner. They don't have much of a presence here on the forum, but they REALLY know their BMWs. And you gotta love the fact that they actually campaign various M cars in IMSA.
