If Einsenmann guys are brilliant (as they should be for sure) and they set the price of this system does not exceed $ 3,500 ... they will sell it to the 3/4 members this forum; it is almost certain.
Nice work Einsenmann!

Compared to the previous gen and this, the price bump doesn't seem bad at all based on what iND has stated the brilliant minds over at eisenmann have put into this thing. Very excited to hear more.

So the exhaust is $3495; which is excellent and I'm definitely onboard.
But then there's the center pipes for $2090. Plz pardon my ignorance, but are the center pipes really needed to sound exactly like the exhaust video? Or is it more of a performance gain as opposed to a sound gain? Really would appreciate any helpful advice.

Nate, when are these slated to start shipping? Also, can you elaborate on the differences we should expect on resonated versus non resonated center sections? Is the resonated designed for DCT cars in mind or is it simply to reduce resonance/drone?

I will have a 6spd but I can't deal with drone. That's why I'm leaning towards the MPE because I have confidence based on the last generation the MPE will be one of the few exhausts that doesn't drone. If the Eisenmann doesn't drone with resonated or non-resonated I'm likely on board. I like the black tips, sound, etc.

Eisenmann made sure to have a 6-speed and DCT (IND's M4) on hand for development. There is zero drone with the rear section alone and with the optional resonated center pipes. Also the new Eisenmann exhaust uses the factory valves. Comfort = comfort sound Sport = Sport performance Sport plus = Race performance

To be fair he said 'exhaust system'. The rear section is $3395. My biggest problem with doing that only is cutting the stock system. But that's just me and I'm admittedly OCD.
I'm sure plenty of these will sell because they are high quality and sound great. Definitely paying a big time new M car premium tho. Will the inconel version be priced to directly compete with the Akra? |

Would u suggest I get the exhaust and downpipes and leave out the centre pipes to achieve the sound in the video clip? If I was to get the center pipes as well on top of the exhaust and down pipes, would it sound even louder than the video clip?

When I checked out the M4 at my local dealer the salesman started it up, no test drive, and revved it. He thought it sounded cool, but I was honestly embarrassed looking around to see if anyone else noticed how laughable the exhaust tone was. Sort of like a loud, loose-sounding lawnmower.... but I went ahead and ordered an M4 anyways. Lol.
Since then I've been looking at videos for a solution, this may be one of them... although it still doesn't sound 100% great, unless that is the camera moving, making a fart noise during shifts/let-off of gas? The MPE also sounded real good. |
