OPF delete? Only EU?

Was looking at aftermarket exhaust at a European provider and when placing an order for exhaust and downpipe they were telling me I needed to buy the OPF delete pipe as well. I was under the impression that OPF only applied to EU version cars, not US. Am I correct?

Only M4s had OPF and only in Europe.
