The color is definitely not doing the car any favors. What a horrible launch color.

Waiting to see real pictures or videos in other configurations.

It’s unbelievably bad in that color scheme. It looks like it has been in an accident and part of the lower bumper is missing.

There is a nardo grey M3CS for sale which is what I've been looking for but at the price point it's kinda hard to swallow.
It's $30-40k more than a comp M3… hmm
And for a CS I'll have to do my damndest not to modify it a slight bit

Could trade my M4 in for a YMB M3 and break even

You'll end up becoming salty like me and pretty much the only meaningful driving you'll do is at the 1 track here worth going to.

Like F8SEVEN said, I've lived in a lot of places but somehow I can't see myself long-term anywhere but CA. Plus, Seattle and surrounding areas are really friggin expensive now... you'll pay 2/3rds of the cost for 1/2 of the experience of the Bay. Also, in Seattle specifically, you get your share of SF problems but without any of the SF benefits.

Having said all that, if you don't care about cars or really want to be doing things in nature - WA is fantastic. Much better schools here too for the kids and plenty of areas that are safe, affordable, and quite pretty. Income tax savings is great, but be forewarned: they make it up in taxes elsewhere (car sales, estate, etc.).
Pretty much this. I spend 4yrs in SD and LOVED it. That was during my E92 M3 ownership and I couldn't be happier going to car events, rally's, and just enjoying the scenic drives on twisty roads. I've since lived in multiple different states and I've found myself looking at SD again because it's just been miserable everywhere.

The only thing I dread is the taxes lol. But I guess everything has a pro and con.

CS ownership is weird. People look at the car all the time like my prior models, but folks familiar with the brand go nuts at the “CS” moniker. I’ve had several people already not refer to the car as an M4 but rather “awesome CS!” or the like. Personally I don’t believe it deserves the extra attention as performance feels about the same (interior is a big upgrade however I think), but it does show the power of badging.

I think as far as holding value, the M3 CS is going to do awesome. They will be more valuable than the M4 version even without the trick door cards and OLED tails. To me these mentioned parts made the M4 version more desirable, but I’m likely in the minority there. The OLEDs at night are just gorgeous, they make the car look like it has wings.

When I first bought my M4 I passed on a CS because I daily it and some of the things the CS compromised bothered me for daily use so I went with a competition, also because it's sacrilege to customize it in the way I did I feel (value wise).

And yes, the OLEDs are soooooo good
Only reason I'm considering jumping from my M4 which is my dream car and as I think the coupe > sedan model and I love how dialed in it is and fits me so well is because in the possible near future I'm going to need a car seat in the back and that is much simpler with a door there rather than not

Understood, I know you’d love the CS but you already have a great car! You personally have to decide if it’s worth it to you, and yes the extra cost is a hard pill to swallow. Keep us posted!

Not sure how long ago you lived in SD, but in my opinion that place is getting worse every year. The only place I enjoy going in SD now, is to visit relatives in La Jolla.

The MPE also forgoes the mid-resonator and replaces it with an H pipe.

100%, my senior moments are becoming more and more frequent. The MPE really does open up these cars! Might be in line for a good condition V2, and will add if so. No warranty impact due to being a BMW part so it’s pretty much the only option at this point.

The tuning on the CS also gives it a better sound. I transposed the MPE from my 2015 M4 onto my M4cs and the cs sounded way better with the same exhaust.
