If I'm reading this correctly, you are talking about the reliability of a modded F80/F82?

I haven't heard of any major issues and I know many people that are with those mods or more and have had no reliability issues yet. The car is still almost new so I wouldn't expect many issues to come out yet though.

I went from a '13 F30 loaded with M Performance parts to a '16 F80 with mostly cosmetic M Performance parts. You can see links to my two builds in my signature.

Was it worth moving from F30 to an F80? Absolutely!! Even with all the performance enhancements I made to my F30 (which I really loved), you cannot compare it to an F80. The F80 is just a beast compared to the F30 in terms of raw power and handling. To me, the F30 felt like I was driving a luxury sports sedan, whereas the F80 feels and sounds like a true sports car. Had the F80 been available when I got my F30, I absolutely would have gone that route vs getting an F30 and pouring another ~$12K to make it feel closer to an F80 and still not come close.

To put it a different way - my daily is a BMW R1200RT motorcycle which I could not wait to ride when I owned my F30. Now, I look for any excuse I can to keep the bike parked just so I can enjoy the F80. It just gives me that same type of thrill. Anyone that rides, should understand this.

That being said, the question of "worth" really depends on your needs. For me, there is no other car on the market today that is sporty, practical and appealing to me. From what I have read, the C63 is a strong rival to the F80, but I just could not get past how bland it looks. If you really like the C63, you may not see a significant enough difference moving to an F80 to feel it was "worth" it.

As for ASD - yes, it can be easily disabled. You can disconnect it, have it coded off or do what I did and get a exhaust valve controller to control it.

Based on your grammar and ability to express yourself clearly, plus professed love for modifying cars, I find it highly unlikely that you bought c63.

If you are driving one, please go ask your parents to buy you something other than an M3...

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can pickup a used a W204 C63 AMG and a E90/E92 M3 for $25-$30k these days... They're cheaper than brand new base 3-series or c-class... heck, even a new loaded Honda Accord costs about the same as a last-gen M3 or C63 AMG.

Yes but the Honda won't break down, a higher mileage E9x M3 could potentially cost you a ton of money. Granted they are for the most part pretty good in comparison to previous generations, but it can go badly quick getting into a 80,000 mile version.
