I highly doubt it is more efficient than the I6 there is simply no way when driven hard not to use gas. Unless the V8 has cylinder deativation, it is still larger displacement than the 3.0 I6. We will have to see.

back to your topic- I do not see any current engines that are made by MB carrying any astonishing MPG. (usa) I question how the numbers are achieved without any cylinder deactivation or seriously special technologies that would make the car more efficient than a 6 cylinder. C and D on their long term m3 is avg 20/mpg. STI /awd is AWD, they do not get good mpg- I had a S4, horrible mpg.
