I don't know how to fix cars so definitely 3-4 yrs max. Not keeping it beyond warranty.

Unless Bmw makes new M with DCT, otherwise I will keep this for very long. I don't like the down shift of ZF.

Thread started off pretty good. No doubt will degenerate into lease vs buy argument pretty soon.

Yup. And for good measure, DCT is so much better than 6MT. Why would anyone wanna do any work?

I lease my cars for 24 months. So my current 2018 M4 will be returned by Dec 2020.

Looking forward to newer M4 by then

Same. Why deal with any repair for any car beyond warranty if you can avoid it...

You may have to wait. Though the newer M4 won't drop until 2021 as a 2022 MY (could be wrong)

I intend to keep my 2015 M4 for 4 or 5 more days.

My 2018 is at the port in Newark, NJ waiting to be transported to the dealer on LI.

I will keep that one for three years.

The plan was to keep my 16 M4 for 3 years, then do another M4 ED summer of 19. But I got a really great deal on a 18 M3 ZCP and I couldn’t say no. So now I’ll try to keep this for 2-3 years.

Hopefully more than 2 more years. I really enjoy the car but I get bored after awhile.
