Drag times?

Hi All

New M3 Comp owner here. I'm keen to take the car to both the drags and track and have been reading the track times thread and some drag times OS but haven't seen a lot of detail for the Oz times. I used to partake in these things 20 years ago and keen to take the kids there for the experience.

Can anyone share their drag times or suggest what 1/4 mile time a stock 2018 Competition should do ??

I'll agree with 11.3 to 11.7s if you can keep good grip.

So I’ll head to Willowbank in a couple of weeks, seems Helmets have an expiry year and so need to get a new one. And of course like every other commodity people want these days there’s very limited stock.

I’d be rapt with an 11 sec anything really. Last time I used to do this I was in a VX SS commodore modified everything on drag radials, fastest it ran was 11.6, so a stock run in the M3 will be interesting. Will be taking a mate in a Tesla model 3 performance as well.

Will post slips and maybe video if I can work something out, thanks for the input guys.

I did my first drag race a few weeks ago. I was curious because of this thread so gave it a shot. I've gone to the track a lot but never been to a dragstrip before so this was really fun. I have a 2018 M4 Comp 6MT. Stock other than EL midpipe and drop-in filter. Rear seat/backrest delete. I was on 18x10 Apex EC7 wheels with 275 wide BFGoodrich g-Force Rival S tires. These are the wheels/tires I use for track and although it's obviously not a drag tire I figured it'd be better than 666M wheels on worn PSS tires. I ran twice and got 12.24 and then 11.99

Made me really appreciate the skills needed to pull off anything in the 11.3 to 11.7 range (seems damn impossible haha - for me atleast). Also, it only cost 30 or 35 bucks (can't remember which) so clearly way less expensive than a track day!

New helmet has finally arrived so looking at heading to the drags this coming Friday if weather is ok, will post times and maybe a video if my dodgy home mounting system holds up.

Well done and really interesting mate, I won’t have the benefit of stickier tyres but I am auto, about the most I’ll be able to do is let some air out of the rears. Will be happy with an 11 anything.

You're probably going to be happy with your time because the DCT shifts so fast. Looking forward to your times and feedback

So after months of rain, cancelled events, Christmas\New Year and my own alternate activities, finally got to the drags. Picked the worst night for it, super busy, only got 3 runs, and there was an hour delay as something dropped oil the whole length of the track. Anyway, here's the best run.

And to top it off , the Dragy didn't record the sound for some bizarre reason. Can't find anywhere else online other people have had this issue.
