Has anyone determined if exhaust flows through all four pipe outlets with the Dinan exhaust?

I've had the Dinan system now for about a month or so. It's OK...not much louder than stock, a little deeper. I haven't noticed much popping. I thought it was the best option out of a lot of pricey exhausts. The only thing I really don't like about it are the tips...they are just slash-cut thin wall pipes and they look cheap, like one of those coffee can exhausts on some kid's Civic. Would I buy it again? Maybe not. I'd prolly just save up for the M system....

Dinan installed

Got mine installed today. Only 10 miles commuting so far. Initial observations:
- A bit deeper sound at idle and low revs
- More authoritative at full acceleration
- About as quiet as stock at cruise with no drone
- Tips are nice size, with perfect extension; like the black; personally like thin wall tips, unlike motodude
- Can is more concealed from rear than stock
- Having warranty matching the car is a plus

I will try to get vids when it is broken in. All-in-all I think it is close to what I was after, which is just a little more and better sound without being in-your-face and better looking, with maybe a couple pounds less weight and couple more hp.

Nice!

What is the cost of Dinan relative to say MPE or Eis or whatever else?

I have a couple clips on my computer. Having issues uploading them recently

If you don't mind shooting over your email I can email you the clips? They're about 30mb tops.

My personal opinion is that it's just as loud as stock just a bit less rasp.... It may be completely different with downpipes, but personally not my top choice

I have Eisenmann...looks great and can see very little under hang from the rear of the car unlike a few others. Price a bit more but its very nice sound upgrade. Not obnoxious like the Meisterschaft GTC (too much/too attention) and looks great. Dinan straight tips look a bit plain for the car..almost like they came of a Camaro or something but are okay. How ever unlike normal with Dinan products most of the time...where the warranty is a great add on...not too sure how much the equivalency warranty does for exhaust purposes. Never heard of one failing or the warranty being really needed for an exhaust and most of the time...they manufacturers do honor and stand behind their products. So just saying IMHO not sure where the warranty falls in for Dinan exhaust wise. Now for an ECU flash or suspension products/brakes..yep I'll take the warranty.

Smart idea of Eisenmann to have the tips attached by rivets - so it looks, seeing all the problems others have had with either screws or twist locks attaching the tips like found on the MPE.

$1600 for Supersprint mid-pipes (no secondary cats or resonator), keeping stock exhaust. CG precision valve control so I can leave valves open for aggressive strait through sound, or switch to OEM control for more mellow sound. Truly Jeckel and Hyde personality, which is what I was looking for.

How many cuts did you have to make on the exhaust? Do the SS mid-pipes bolt directly to the oem DP's?

I'll also disagree with motodude... These are my favorite tips. To me they look very purposeful and not blingy - like they came off a race car. To some extent people will tell me I like this poser-racecar style too much (CF parts and such) and I don't necessarily disagree, but to the same end I think a lot of these weird rolled tips or double layered ones with CF outers look just as much like senseless bling.

This is an interesting idea.. can you PM me where you got the SS mid-pipes? I already have the CG Precision controller on the way. Thanks!

Totally agree. Leaving the pipe bare single wall steel is very purposeful and race-like. This ain't no Camaro.

I've had Dinan FFE blk tips on a previous BMW, great sound, build quality and they looked really nice. On my 335i N54 it really seemed to need exhaust sound tweaking, money well spent. In my opinion which differs with some, with the S55, I just can't see it as that much of an improvement over what the M OEM exhaust produces, especially when I drive around all the time with flaps open.

OP, they look great with your color choice of SS, enjoy!

Swap them out on the Dinan system ?
The Dinan tips are welded onto the muffler. You would have to cut them off if you didn't like them
