Are M4 competition wheels diamond cut? If so can you buy insurance for accident damag

Hi folks, Still some time until my new M4 competition arrives.

I think the standard silver competition 20" wheels are diamond cut. Am I correct?

If so is it possible to purchase accidental damage cover for kerbing?

yes they are diamond cut, you can get beemer allow wheel protection cover (not sure what price they are quoting these days). Good luck with your new car, lots of happy safe miles!!

I'd be careful on this. My understanding is the 666M's can't be repaired.

Any update on you car?

Thanks Chompers, I hope they can be repaired. Knowing me as careful as I am it's almost inevitable I will kerb a wheel.
Latest update is build "The current status for your amazing BMW M4 is "1100 Scheduled". Expected production period is week 24 (11th - 17th June).Expected delivery period is week 27*(2nd - 8th July)." Just have to wait and see :-)

They cab be repaired. I had a slight amount of rash on one of my wheels that was able to be fixed, and you can't even tell it had damage before.

do you know how they were repaired?? CNC? polish? powder coated? if so what color for the accents

I had two shops try to repair my 666M and both weren’t able to get it perfect. I decided to replace it with a new one after that.

Hi Guys,
I work at an alloy wheel refurbishment plant in Trafford park [manchester] we do tones of these 666m alloys.
we get them perfect every time

any decent place should be able to get them 99%
