New anti-theft mechanism?

I've started seeing these on some wheels lately. Anyone know what they are? Could it be some sort of anti-theft mechanism?

literally takes a few seconds to pry out. I've seen some other cars that have plastic covers on the individual lug nuts.

This brought back memories of my 1994 Accord EX which had wheel lug caps on them. I loved how these wheels looked on the car. Even though they were only 15", they looked fantastic.

Found it! It's actually a wheel lock - 'Rimgard'. Looks solid, Joe Achilles reviewed them (see 8:46)

Hey Tommy I watch your videos but damn man, you should do some research before answering questions. It's RimGuard and it's made out of steel to protect your rims from theft.

You should do a review on the 666m rims. I be curious to see how they look before I pull the trigger.

I stand corrected

From now on I will spend more hours researching forum topics before answering

BTW if you really watched the channel you'd know that 666 have been sold a year ago hehe

I never said I watched them all 😅. I just figured this was your winter setup. I'm sure you'll be able to find someone with the 666 wheels to do a review on😂.

Anyways great work on your tutorials!

These wheel locks are super cool. And super expensive. Anyone have any actual experience with them?

Found these reviews on Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/rimgard.com, even though there are just a few everyone seems to be really happy with them
