Anyone know anything about aFe Turbo-back?
Was perusing vendor specials on the forums and say that x-ph has an aFe turbo back exhaust for 2550 bucks. I didn't know this exhaust existed and was wondering if anybody has tried it or has heard it. I mean it just seems to really fit the bill that most people have been looking around for a solid turbo/cat-back for less than 3k.
Doesn't look like theres any valves or anything so it would be loud all the time and possibly drone-y but it may be something im interested in solely on a price standpoint. Link: http://www.x-ph.com/afe-mach-force-e...bo-back-m3-m4/

This is actually a down pipe back. A turbo back would include down pipes. The description says it correctly but the title does not. Looks nice though... In4videos

Right my bad, so yeah it's a downpipe back or essentially a cat-back on these cars i suppose. Yeah I'm really interested in videos for this exhaust.

AFE names it correctly, as you can see in the description. I guess "Extreme Power House" is applying riceboys license.
"aFe power introduces you the MACH Force-XP down-pipe back exhaust system for the 2015 BMW M3/M4 (F80/82)" AFE's own website titles correctly: http://afepower.com/shop/details_new...no=49-36323-P&

Oh and most interesting, it seems that AFE are the first manufacturer to offer a full system exhaust with cats for the M4. Not to mention air intake as well.
Well done AFE. Has anyone tried the are intake yet? "*Note: Dyno number are with aFe's catted Down-Pipes P/N 48-36312" http://afepower.com/shop/details_new...no=49-36323-P& http://afepower.com/shop/details_new...no=49-36323-P& http://afepower.com/shop/details_new...rtno=52-76305&

Yeah I'm confused why every company is releasing catless dp's I understand that they flow more and are how you make more power, just not understanding how all these people are getting cars to pass emissions especially with most of them being from california. I honestly am not even looking for DP's at the moment but love that aFe may have finally made a nice cheap bolt up exhaust for the M3. I did email them about videos and more information on the system and they will return to the office monday after the holidays and email me back.
I really do hope this exhaust sounds good because it may be the value option here.

I don't "care" per say I just don't understand how people get around it. In PA we are required to get an emissions test unless we drive less than 5,000 miles a year and then it is exempt. I mean I know a few mechanics who do inspections and emissions and I'm sure if I needed to I could get them to pass the car regardless, I'm just more interested on how so many people do it and don't have more problems like that is all.

AFE claims 48 state legality with their catted down pipes, however I'm not sure if that applies when the secondary cats are removed by fitting their full system.

Thanks Richy thats all I was wondering.
As far as this I'm not sure either, as far as I know it seems like the sensors are in the downpipes so it should not throw a code, and the car would still have cats on it. I dont see why it wouldnt pass this way, I mean are people going to memorize how many cats are on each type of car if they even do a visual inspection that is.

Now I understand were you coming from. A lot of people trade in there cars before the emissions testing five year period. And most get it paid to pass. Not That hard.
