0W20 LL-14 oil for F8x?

I picked up my M3 on the weekend and when I was getting the tour, the Genius pointed out the spare bottle of oil in the trunk. This was 0W20 and the Genius was adamant that 0W20 LL-14 was the new oil for all BMW engines. My manual still says 0W30 LL-01. What gives? Just a mistake at the factory?

The s55 should be LL-01 or LL-01FE (although personally I would stick to LL-01).
