The price difference is negligible, but I'm kind of a manual transmission only guy, at least I thought I was until I was offered this deal!
I'm really in love with the looks of the CS, but I have never driven a car with DCT.
While I also love the looks of a SMB CS (M3 in my case..not M4).. it is off my list due to DCT.

I saw one on the lot 2 weeks ago and thought.. damn what a cool car... but I poked around here.....the CS does not have comfort access.. has no center armrest.. and door cards with just pulls for door handle.... so the daily driver creature comforts are in some instances.. removed.. when comparing to an M4 or M2.

the fact that somebody changed their mile on the CS in question after just 2500 miles, should give you pause..
( Perhaps the original owner got a great lease deal on the CS when new and thought they would be happy too? )

The right price on the wrong item is NOT a good deal.....

DCT is great and can be very rewarding but it's not for everyone. Just don't drive it in auto mode. The CS on the other hand is maybe a little much for the street or daily use but for weekend fun, sounds great. You know what you're getting in the M2 and M2C just amps it up a notch.

I was hesitant going from the M/T in my M3 to DCT in my M3 CS, but it has been a blast. That said, you can't go wrong with any of the choices. The M2 is a fantastic car in its own right.

Definitely take the M4. The 7 speed DCT is amazing! Nothing better than cruising top gear in DCT manual mode, depressing the throttle to the kick down, and pulling the down shift paddle. 7th to 3rd in a fraction of a second and off like a shot! 60-130mph just like that!

...and it has launch control
...and it's faster on the track

Not even close IMO.

I'm with you on this. Personally I've never even sat in a CS, but on paper the car saves only 100 lbs of weight. If it's just minor interior trim, I can live with its removal, but when you start removing comfort access and other features (but confusingly retaining the navigation DCT and leather) it makes you question whether BMW really knows what customers want in a car like this.

Put it this way, I bet if you really wanted to build a CS, you can easily save 100 lbs getting rid of the entertainment stuff, DCT and leather. While they're at it, might as well remove the trunk liner and sound deadening and back seats...oh wait you basically have a M4 GTS.

Looking back at my prior M3 ownership, the items that don't help value of the car (and certainly don't add performance) are DCT, navigation and leather (and moonroof, I know CS doesn't have one, just calling it out).

DCT doesn't "add performance" ?

Yeah, right .

Yeah, right .
It does from a technical aspect, buy that's not how subsequent owners see it at the time of their purchase when Infinitis can out perform the car.

This will be good, which Infiniti does this over an M3/4?

Also not in M dynamic 🤣
It looks like just the throttle is in efficient mode. I'm assuming he did that on purpose so he could better modulate the throttle in the wet conditions. If you floor it in efficient mode, it will give you maximum throttle. It's just not as touchy.

I believe in Efficient mode the waste gates on the turbos are open so it doesn't boost as quickly or aggressively? I thought I read that somewhere? Maybe someone who knows more about this can chime in.
