Where the admins at? They really should make a sticky and post email addy, phone numbers, known account info to a page in case they come back. Once consent is given even the GDPR nazi's can't come after them for doing that.

Does the scammer have another forum account as well? A quick Google search resulted in igM3NACER using the same number for transactions.

Glad OP got resolution, and also just as important, that scammer didn't get paid. But I don't understand why people don't use PayPal for this? Isn't the transaction fee worth it to people for stuff like this?

I almost always use PayPal. On Venmo you can see transaction history too and he was paying family, friends and was really active. Usually not the sign of a scammer. Plus he had good feedback on here about selling, had more listed and wasn't a total noob. I even asked questions about how the transfer worked, knowing full well how it worked to see if he was just full of shit. Nothing screamed scam.

very sorry to hear about all these scammers lately. I've been a member here since 2006 and i've mentioned in my other thread that i've always LOVED the camaraderie since e90post/early bimmerpost days. The CCP virus/pandemics can make people do some crazy sh!t but we're a group like-minded people with similar interests and hobbies, why the need to take advantage of people for $$ baffles me. I am sure if <<insert scammer>> needed cash/help because <<insert scammer>> is going through some hardship, i don't have a single doubt that folks on here would be willing to help, if asked appropriately. Love to find a way to identify and stop this BS. Sorry for the rant, hate people taking advantage of others...

I just do not understand some of you guys here. You have a 60-80 thousand dollar car and yet, a 600 dollar flash tune to get 80 hp and a bunch of other upgrades is still too expensive for you. I will NEVER understand this logic.

Agree. Especially with wheels ppl are super cheap. Majority of ppl here paid around 40s. So we get those ppl here now.

There is zero reason to pay full price for anything that can be negotiated. If you can save 50% legitimately why would you not want to do that? The problem isn't people are cheap but that people have no concept of TVM and/or are spoiled brats because they buy shit on credit... Cost of mods is irrelevant considering everything has an M tax on it any way.

And stop comparing the cost of mods to the price of the car...makes no sense...do you compare the price of the car to the garage its parked in? I bet there are a lot more people in this forum who are house poor vs. car rich.

Reason being is you get ripped off and end up paying more for something when you buy it twice. But anyway, your car, your money, your choice...
