Another potential scammer contacted me via pm regarding my WTB thread. Seems to be a lot of this on this forum.

Honestly these WTB scammer threads are borderline useless. It's the same group of thieves under different usernames PMing everyone who has a WTB thread.

The red flags are obvious. wire transfer, zelle or some sort of non disputable payment. Ask them a stupid question and see if they give an answer. One scammer confirmed the wheels he was selling were 2x4 when I asked him to confirm those were the specs.

If you're going to fall for these low hanging grape type of scammers then perhaps one needs an education on do's and donts in the world wide web.

otherwise calling out their names is useless. today he is Patrick93 and tomorrow his username is nickyc or something.

now if you've actually got scammed, then that's a different story and requires bimmerpost detectives inc to get involved.

There are free wake-up call services available. Contact them and have a wake up call sent at 3-4am everyday to that number. The call-from number changes daily so it's tough to block all of them. Just a handy tip if anyone is interested.
