So I plugged in the obd to our m3 440i and 540i. Not one of the menus offers the active sound on any of the cars. Is it deeper on another menu?

I was easily able to adapt this to my F83 convertible by removing the 10 plastic rivets and removing the driver’s side trunk liner panel. It’s actually much smaller on the convertible so it was easy to get it out and in. The amp is right underneath and is fully exposed once you remove the liner panel. Then, you can access the lever for the plug even easier than the F80/F82.

Thank you very much!

In the Bimmercode features description, it suggests that the active sound can only be deactivated and that a backup should be saved as the way to reverse this. Has anyone been able to find a way to make this a toggle?

Its coding you can not "toggle" it, it has to manually be done each time you want it on or off. The back up is a standard saying in case you have custom coding involved, but reverting to stock will do just fine.

I have Bimmerlink, same developers than bimmercode, and according to them with bimmerlink configurations, ASD, Popping noise, are reset once you turn off the car.

With bimmercode is the same?

I just want to take off ASD and popping noise and keep exhaust valves open.

Flaps? Disconnect the exhaust valve connectors, tape them up and ziptie them when your flaps are open. No coding needed.

ASD? Disconnect the module from your amp. Done!

for the flaps I understand that first you have put sport plus to open the flaps and then disconnect
