Cool video . That's at the Bugatti circuit in France, the LeMans short track.
It's fun to see the rate at which these two are passing the other cars.

the Porsche is able to break later and harder into the turns.. that being said the M4 did very well both driver seem to be good at what they are doing..but the person in the Porsche does not seem to be pushing as hard in the turns..and why would he no reason to crash the car..but if hi did i feel that he would be able to pass the M4..I must say My M3cs the turn in is very Porsche like the front end feels light and does not push as much as my 2017 M3

Nice to see these cars used properly on the track 👍
The weight disadvantage of the bimmer can be seen on the turns: it can't break so late, where the Porsche is doing an excellent job. Great fun in both cars, for sure! |

While fun to see, I'm pretty sure the results would be different had the GT3 started in front. Seems like they were pushing less than the CS just because the CS was in the way.

If the 911 is keeping the M4 the same distance ahead down the straights, the 911 is actually gaining time on the M4 because as you go faster, the distance between cars for the same time gap increases. So, .5 second gap of around 1 carlength at 30mph becomes 2 carlengths at 60mph (gross approximaton there)
I was surprised the M4 was able to get into the gas as early as it was, despite all the torque, it still seemed to have great traction

What's exciting is that the G82 M4 will have more power and will be lighter than the F82 M4 CS. Now if BMW could just get the S58 motor to scream as good as the Porsche GT3!

I think this video needs to be taken for what it is: two relatively good amateur drivers having fun together storming through traffic on a racetrack.
This isn't a race and by no means is it an indication of the relative performance of the M4cs vs the 991 GT3. We need to be real about this: 991.1 GT3 > M4GTS > M4CS
