Hey do any of you local Boston guys have the active EL midpipe installed?

I just threw one on with catless downpipes, and I'm trying to determine if mine is buzzing/rubbing on something, or if that's just how they sound at low RPMs

Also down for another meetup sometime if anyone else is interested.

I'm running stock dp, EL non res, and mpe rear. I get a slight buzz at start up and goes away. People said EL is close to heat shield so it has to be adjusted or it could be touching the brace. I had spacers installed on the brace so no big issues for me.

Honestly would love to hear both of your cars to make my decision on my exhaust setup. Can't convince myself over youtube videos even if I wear good headphones. If there's a meet, I'm down as well (assuming it's not -10 outside)

It's the catless DPs, they produce the most rasp. Is your mid resonated or not?

I'm running the same exact setup as V.sapphire. I deleted cold start via BM3 because I heard a slight buzz during the startup sequence which was annoying.

Kilabyte is the reason I got an equal length exhaust from his videos. I had a fabspeed x pipe before but I needed a change. I didn't turn off cold start for my car so the buzzing still happens.

I have the resonated midpipe. And the buzzing definitely gets better when everything is warmed up, but it’s still there right around 2K rpm. At 3k rpm there’s also a big surge which can translate to a little drone on the highway, but after that it sings.

We could meet up halfway between folks if people want to do that. I’m curious to hear different setups.

I have winters and daily mine so I’m down to meet whenever. We could wait till it warms up a bit though.

Weather and roads are awful right now, can't even clean the cars because the snow is gonna be melting for weeks

Coming in about a week! Parts are sitting in my kitchen lol, I'm doing a big install together w my tech friend next weekend. I'll document as much as I can, definitely will send videos of the exhaust after it goes in. Downpipes just arrived yesterday, they look gorgeous from AR design

I have a 2017 M4 with VRSF DP's AA EL Non res Mid. I don't notice any "buzzing".
