Good sources:
Hmm, it won't let me write "Mod..." (synonym for "deals")?? * "http://www.**********s.com/BMW-Bosch-Plat-Spark-Six-Set-RB-ZMR5TPP330.htm" * "https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-zr5tpp330a-spark-plug-bosch-0242145541" Decent price! Confirm Shipping costs. Cheers!

My car has 52k miles, running OEM plugs that were changed at 45k and I have never felt a hiccup or miss. It idles perfectly. I have catless Downpipes and stage 1 BM3 91 octane. Maybe it is something else?

Where do you get .028 from? I've looked all over an couldn't find an official OEM gap Spec. Or, is that what yours measured out to be - out of the box? The only reference I've found was .032 for OEM.

When I purchased a set of new OEM plugs from BMW dealer for the 2015 M4 I had at the time, all six were at .028 out of box. This was Oct 2016 and car had about 5000mi. I gapped them to .022 per Terry at BMS to use with JB4 map 2. Noticeable difference in acceleration over plugs that came out of the car all at .028. No idle issues. OEM plugs from dealer are just fine gapped at .022. Will be going this route again on our 2018 M3 ZCP. No NGK’s for me!

F.Y.I:
Ando @BMS indicated to me that the NGK's need to be gapped @0.020 in order for these to work properly in our cars. Cheers!

Haven't changes them back to the NGK. Left the stock plugs in. As is the car has no traction with 295 ps4 in the rear. I don't want to go back to NGK and then OEM if I get that idle issue again. Sticking with OEM at .028 as they came out of the box. It's just plugs, either way if the boost was so high that I needed colder plugs and less gap the car would break up under full boost. I think the NGKs are more for big boost cars like pure turbos and or e85...my 2 cents. Haven't had any issues whatsoever with the OEM bosch plugs at .028 |
