Bimmerlink disabling burbles, coming soon!

Word is that the developers of Bimmercode and Bimmerlink have recently released a beta version of Bimmerlink that turns off the burbles! I am excited for this feature, especially since I don't want to invest in a tune like bootmod3 just to disable them. The beta version is currently for iOS only but will be available to everyone as an update for iOS and android soon. So far I heard its worked for the M2C and I have reached out to the developers to see if I could test it out myself for my f83 (android). Will report back soon. If anyone has been able to test out the beta version on the f8x platform, please share your experience here.

I'm in the opposite camp. I have the base M4 (non-ZCP) and don't mind the burbles of the ZCP exhaust but don't want it to be excessive either. No point in me investing in bootmod just for burbles. My car has zero burbles. Ever.

Call me crazy but I have no interest in a tune. This car has way more than enough power... and I don't want to sacrifice reliability.

Do you have a ZCP? My Non ZCP F80 has no burbles when it was stock.

Super excited about this. Sounds like the beta testers are reporting that once burbles are set to off, they stay off WITHOUT the OBD dongle attached. Wasn't expecting that, but if it's true...I'm all over this.

non-ZCP but I have a ZCP muffler and VRSF single midpipe

Do you burble with on the non-zcp car but with zcp muffler? I thought it was based more on the tune.

I was never a fan of burbles, misfires from any car. I prefer a clean, deep tone-sounding exhaust

people that have disabled the burbles say they could hear the exhaust better too

When I was 16, my 2001 Honda Civic Ex was not capable of making burbles and hence was not “cool” in front of my friends.

+1. I've spent the last 5 years in a 2015 non-ZCP with an AWE NR exhaust and really liked the occasional deep and throaty gurgle that thing let out on lift off.

I just picked up a 2020 ZCP a few days ago and the constant burble/crack/pop/bang is already annoying. It sounds...I dunno...gimmicky? It is very not my cup of tea.

So, you're trying to make up for loss time?

People are non-confrontational, so they won't tell you this but a grown ass man, with a car that makes obnoxious farts and burbles sounds, disturbing other's peace, makes one looks like a compete douche and tells people "Even though I'm over the age of 30, I haven't emotionally progressed pass 14."

I'm for one, happy their is now a non-flash option to remove the burbles, as I'm way pass attracting unnecessary attention my car but to each is own..

Who cares about what other people think? Why are you trying to convince someone else that burbles are "childish"? Let people do what they want.

Burble is more related to tune but exhaust also has some effect. I have a Base (non-ZCP) F80 M3. Stock tune has no burbles with base exhaust (almost same as ZCP "sport" exhaust). When I added hi-flow catted DPs and a full AA exhaust there is one or two short burbles on let off. When I load up a ZCP/CS/GTS tune then I get the crack-pop-pop burbles, albeit much louder with the full exhaust.

I must admit that I liked the burbles at first since I never had them before (and yes, I'm a child at heart!), but soon learned that having burbles means that you can't hear the turbo "spool down" from my MST intakes. Now I run with valves open but burbles off. With a GTS tune or higher I still get a nice authentic pop from the wastegates opening when I clutch-in under power.

just now saw this question...I've researched that too and that its in the tune that causes the burbles but yes, I have burbles with the zcp muffler and single midpipe. no tune with a non-ZCP
