BMW Lap timer shows previous sessions on brand new car

Hi everyone,

I recently tried to use the M Laptimer app and after recording a session, I noticed 3 previous recorded sessions with 3 different names.

The car was purchased new with 10miles on the odometer and now I'm wondering if the car was used previously in a bmw marketing event.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Unless they rolled the odometer back not sure how you could get three laps anywhere plus delivery miles etc. under ten miles. Likely nothing to be concerned about.

Nothing to worry about. I had a friend download the app that doesn’t have an M and it showed the same 3 sessions. It’s just part of the app. Does it show 3 sessions from Adam, Tom, and Mike?

Those are "sample" laps.

I would have def skipped the break-in had I known they "warmed it up for me" glad it's confirmed they are "sample" laps

sounds like those guys tracked it and now you probably have an SCH that will pop up at any second.
