Besides opportunity cost?

Doing a 1 pay is great because it lowers the Money Factor by .00003. It's considers a pre-payment of your monthly and not a down payment, so even if the car gets totaled/stolen, the remaining balance of the pre-payment is returned to the customer.

If you are a non-NY customer, multiple security deposits is a better route as it lowers the MF by .00005

Good question!

Interesting. I thought you would lose equity in case it got totaled just like a down payment.

Do you cover states outside the ones in your profile? How would that work? (EG I am in MA)

On factory orders do your customers still get the better of order and delivery numbers?

Thanks in advance

Wife and I are looking to purchase an X5, but undecided if we should lease or buy one.
Any feedback pros and cons? Also, any potential discounts right now? I am in San Diego, CA. Thank you and appreciates any advise/help.

Yes we can ship nationwide, but I can put you in touch with a MA broker who covers MA. MA doesn't recognize temp plates, so it's sooo much easier dealing with a local broker/dealer.

Yes any orders u get the better of the 2...that's for everyone

Good morning and thanks again for this thread.
I was looking at leasing an X2 but ended up getting the wife a 2020 GTI because she thought it was cuter.
However, the lease on my mom's XC60 is up at the end of the month and she is looking at leasing another one. However, I pointed her in the X3 direction.
Do you know if leasing a 2020 or 2021 X3 is a good value? Any idea on what the numbers look like?
Again, thanks for everything you do on this board.

This is a good question!

The 2020s now lease worse than the 2021s because there is a 1% residual decrease for the 2020. The lease cash is about the same if I remember correctly.

The big 2021 change is that blind spot monitoring is now standard ...SMH long time coming.

OCTOBER UPDATE:

Target should be 9-10% off before rebates/incentives + MF .00082 (buy rate) on most BMWs...The Ms will be slightly less at around 7-8% off

How about leftover M4cs? Will I be able to get a deal? Lease or purchase?

Thanks in advance!

I would like to piggy back on this. I plan on buying a G80 probably 3 years out in the middle of it's life cycle. From the history of the F80 and your experience in this field what is the highest % discounts have you seen off MSRP without rebates? I understand you don't have a crystal ball I'm just trying to get an educated guess as best as possible. I appreciate your time and effort.

Does this 7-8% off MSRP apply to M340i Or only to true M cars? I was looking to potentially lease an M340i and the local dealer's initial offer was 6% off MSRP and they marked up the money factor! I told them they would need to put the money factor down to the buy rate and give me at least 10% off and the guy implied that that would never happen...

Is it safe for me to assume that I could push for 10% off MSRP and the buyer rate money factor? I qualify for the loyalty discount the US AAA discount and the recent college grad a discount. According to the dealer there is another thousand dollar lease cash for everyone which brings my total potential rebate to almost 4000 on top of any MSRP discount they give me . If I could get them to knock off 10% give me the buyer rate and score all four grand of discounts I will get a very attractive lease and I would probably move on it instead of considering my alternative option which is to purchase a low mileage used M3

The car I'm looking at is a 2020 with an MSRP of just over $62k

They only wanted to give me 6% off the MSRP. I hinted I was looking for 10% and he claimed that was too much because the M340i is so "in demand". I find that odd when they have four of them on their lot and they have like 30+ 330i's..

I was looking for 12,000 miles a year the residual value on that is 57%.

Just to make this more informative to the everyone, yes, you should target 10% off with a buy rate + whatever incentives you qualify for.

Yes these M340s are in high demand so YMMV. Here in the Northeast, it's 9-10% all day for inventory or ordered ones.

Florida delivery

Can you tell me how delivery and lease turn-in work? Specifically, I have tired of the games from dealers on the west coast of Florida and would like to order a new 330i with your service. Do I still have to pick up at a local dealer? I would even do performance center delivery in Spartanburg.

Also, to coincide with my lease end in mid-March, when do I need to order? One dealer told me to wait until January and another told me to order no later than Nov. 1 to avoid the German factory shutdown (which I found odd since most 3-series are manufactured in Mexico). Thanks.

54% for 10k/36mo

2021 is 55% for 10k/36mo

lease cash is the same, so it's one of those weird times it's better to get a 2021 over a 2020 unless there is more than a 1% discount over the 2021

great question!

How does it work with ED orders or would it be impossible to get 10% off M3 ED MSRP price?

Thank you!
