Probably bad cable or adapter. I had 1 bad cable and one amazon adapter that was faulty.

I have over 20 engine flash with that cable and xhp gearbox flash, bimmercode codings, thor steering and differential codings never had issues.

Doesn't mean the cable didn't fail during your recent flash attempt - it happens. You can rule out the cable failure by connecting to your car with other apps to see if they function properly. If the cable functions properly with other apps, then I suggest you reach out to PTF for official tech support.

I know you can't change the 4 maps at this point, but is there still the ability to edit them like the previous OTS maps? Like can I make changes to the burbles and whatnot different/different between maps?

Yeah, I had the same thing happen to me. Had flashed multiple times with multiple apps, and it left me stuck at a gas station for about 1.5 hours and 15-20 flash attempts for an E85 tune. I switched my cable and all has been fine since. My bet is bad cable. It's weird, but it seems to be true.

i don't know what to say, I just flashed now xhp from stage2 to stage3 with that cable with succes and a few codings with bimmercode. I remember last time when i tried to flash bm3 antilag(6th or 7 time when worked in the end) i closed all open apps in the iphone and flash worked. It is possible maybe one of the previews open app create trouble.

I think that's normal when flashing to the Multimap/ Flexfuel map. Happened to me as well. All other flashes after took less than 60sec start to finish

Hi, is there anything new on 2H maps? I downloaded it again and it is called CUSTOM-ROM but everything looks the same .. there is no multimap .. does it have antilag? A friend said that they had increased the boost 0.15 bar, is this true? Thank you

* (Android) Apps. - BM3 - "Mobile Data" Usage allowed
* (Android) Ethernet Tethering enabled
* Trickle Charger plugged in
* Cable (ODBII ~ RJ45 ~ USB) connections checked
* Door closed
* Ignition On/Engine Off
* Seat Belt clipped in
* Auto lights - Off / Fan ("Auto") - Off
* Cycling through iDrive DME Fault codes ( & cleared) - left untouched


There is a "Config." link up top, on the initial MultiMap screen.
Here, it appears, you can vary (or not) the following :
> Burbles
> GTS Roar
> Max Cooling
> Rev Match
> Cold Start
> EWG
> TMAP
> Exhaust (valves) Flap
> Speed Limiter
> HPFP
> Boost (by gear)
> DTC (Codes) Deact.

[Edit:] ... All of the adjustments here get applied to all 4 of the OTF maps simultaneously.

Logging shows you:
Target Boost PSI
Pre-manifold PSI
(the two main ones are above)
and also..
MAP PSI and
Deviation PSI

It shows a TON. Just turn on the logging selections (which things to log) and go play.

If you need a heads-up gauge you could get a Snow 2H controller and stick it in a Podwurx dash adapter (Kies).

Is flashing with the new updated app taking a lot longer? Or is it just the first time? I have been running the GTS map for months and just flashed over to the CS+ map to try it out..... not the multi-map stg 1 or 2 but the straight up CS+. The flash took forever... Almost lire it was unlocking the DME. Twice i thought it was locked up but i waited.
Just want to make sure something is not wrong and I need to re-flash it again. The tune is really different from the GTS so not sure if it flashed correctly. No pronounced rev matching like the GTS and shift points seem soft but it has not adapted I am sure

The new CustomROM logic seems to take a bit longer on first use, even for non-converted maps. I was sweating it out at 3% for a bit...then the 97%. The new/updated BM3 Agent is probably checking the additional RAM blocks in the DME that could have been written. After you do a CustomROM and then another CustomROM it runs fast like the old rev.

No idea on trans flash.

My burbles sound the same, but I'm half deaf from years of sirens...so not sure.

Thanks TJ..that explains some things. I also was referring to just the maps not trans flash. Burbles always change from map to map. The rev matching is what was weird and the maps do influence shift points and things thru communication with the DME. I will play with it for a bit and switch back to the GTS if I am not in love with the CS+. I was just a little freaked out with the length of time

Hi all, I was going to do this yesterday but I just want to confirm something. I have Stage 1 91 right now. When I go to download the multimap it says I don't have any map credits. I just want to confirm that if I want to switch to the multimap I need to purchase a map credit for $100. Is that right? The only Free maps showing now are Stage 0+ CS/GTS maps.

That does not sound right as the Stage 1 multimap is just a grouping of all the Stage 1 map and the stock CS map. I was running the Stage 1 93 Octane, which is what I paid for with my license long ago. When the Stage 1 multimap was available for flashing, I was able to flash it since I already had the single map credit. Now, if I also wanted to add the Stage 2 multimap (or any of the other "not free" maps) to "My Maps" list, in addition to the Stage 1 map I already have, I would need to pay extra.

Hmm.. Could it be because originally I was on Map 1 93 octane but switched to Map 1 91 octane when the car was moved from a 93 state to a 91 state? Now in my maps list all I have are stock and Map 1 91

The MultiMap is an OTS Map, just like the regular Stage 1 or 2. These are the "pay for" maps, and 1x is included with your BM3 license. If you want another or a few OTS then buy the "map pack" which gives access to all OTS maps. The only reason not to have the Map Pack is you picked Stage 2 MultiMap as your one pay-for, and you go right to a custom tune for next levels.

Ever since the "custom-rom" came out, I re-flashed my car to the new version of Stage 2 like it was previously and the car does NOT run right... (2018 M3cs) getting mixture too rich code and the idle is HORRID... rough and shaking..... I tried to tune back to stage 1 and still does the same.... the only time my car idles normal and acts fine is with the STOCK tune.... idk what is up but I am super unhappy with how BM3 handled my emails and barely gave me any decent information... I don't understand why it was perfectly fine on the old Stage 2 tune but now can't even drive properly on stage 1 or 2.... Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a specific setting inside of the stage 2 configuration that I could be missing? Any info would be great.. hate that it seems I'm stuck on stock tune if I want the car to act fine...
