Android Auto + CarPlay for ID4 - Mr12Volt

Being able to easily connect your phone to your car has become something a lot of people expect nowadays, and even though F series BMWs aren't that old, many have no way to use Apple CarPlay, and BMW didn't support Android Auto until the newer G series cars.

MMI boxes are nothing new, but they've often had poor audio quality and a disappointing user experience. After extensive testing we're pleased to offer the Mr12Volt system which utilises the MOST BUS interface to provide audio without any quality drop, and a rock solid user experience that matches the newer G series ID7/8 BMWs!

This system works with all ID4/NBT iDrive systems and adds not only wireless Apple CarPlay but also Android Auto!

We pair this upgrade with the Induktiv wireless charger for ultimate ease of use with no need to plug your phone in to connect or charge.

The website indicates “*** TV feature must be Enabled in order to use this product”. What does this mean?

It utilises the TV input of the iDrive to function, so you must have this coded in for it to work.

Similar to how for older cars they need CD changer enabled.

The question is how do you code this? I’ve been trying to figure this out for 12 hours
