Any feedback on my listing from my friends on the forum? I know my car is quite a quite a distance out on Kauai and would require shipping to almost all interested parties. I would definitely be willing to work with someone on the costs. This is the second car I’ve sold since I’ve lived here. My other E82 M3 I sold to a gentleman in Texas without any issues. Thank you in advance for any comments or suggestions with my thread!

Maybe take us all thru the shipping process? How it works, how much, how long, etc.

Shipping from Hawaii to the mainland is generally cheaper than shipping from the mainland to Hawaii. I have shipped at least six cars out here since I moved in 2016. The last car shipped out cost about $2500 from the port of Long Beach to Nawiliwili. Going the other direction is about $400 to $500 cheaper. Last time I got a quote, I believe somewhere in the $1900 ballpark. Basically I make an appointment with Matson for a drop off date. It would ship from Kauai then to Oahu (Sand Island) and then load onto a large Matson freighter bound for Long Beach or Oakland. Inter island shipping would likely be on Young Brothers. Once the car leaves Kauai, it takes about two weeks to get to one of the mainland ports. |
