Not to transfer but for the people doing it to make a few grand.

Keep in mind people tend to haggle down from the asking price, so starting high might allow him to get to where he wants (which would be slightly less than what he got it for).

Say a car like this leases for ~800, him using it for 2 months = 1600 less = $66,900 or so (which I still think is high, considering I've seen lower mileage better condition ones for ~57 or less). If you factor in it being an individual color you could add 5k (MSRP) for a price of ~62 or so. Mods shouldn't add that much value but if you added them anyways it'd probably place it around 64 or so.
Come on man act like if OP got an offer for 72k he would say "no I only want 66."

He's trying to make money on a car he bought off a forum member 4 months ago with more miles. Plain and simple.
What's wrong with doing this? Honestly.

Have you never sold something for more than you bought it for?

I recently bought an old Toyota Landcruiser for $2k. Did I buy it because I needed or wanted a Landcruiser? No. I bought it because it was a good deal and I know I can easily sell it for $4-5k and probably will. Are you going to slander me for this?

Lol come off it man. Slander you? Give me a reason and I will.

When did I say anything about never selling anything at a profit? But there is something to be said about buying a car on a forum for x amount and then turning right around and trying to make a profit on the same forum.

I am definitely not a flipper. I am an enthusiast that bought a rare car that I really enjoy. I had a 95 Dakar Yellow M3 so I love the flagship bright colors even before the whole individual paint craze came about. I did not buy this car with the intention of selling, and it's most likely looking like I won't. But I did see an intriguing car and really like the specs, and that's the only reason I even entertained putting it on here just in case anyone else was interested. I don't know how many F80 M3's are out there in LSB. Probably less than 10 total I would, and maybe 2-3 2018 Competition Packages. I am pretty sure none of those are currently for sale, so if some LSB enthusiast or lover is out there, then maybe this is a potential car for them.

Ok so there is 2 potentially available. 3x the miles and buyout is 65k, so I don't think I am that far off.

For what it's worth, there are 82 Individual F80s in LSB, 75 of which are in North America.

LSB was one of the colors BMW pushed out to dealers at the end of the F80M run for MY2018, also Imola Red and I think a shade of Violet as well. These typical $5K individual colors were offered for "free" to move more cars at the end of the model run.

Yup. Daytona Violet. There was a dealer in Florida selling a brand new 18 ZCP in that color with an msrp of 83k and they were advertising it for 74k. Ended up selling for around 72k from what I recall. Car sat for close to 2 years. Had every option except CCB.

If this was a purchase, even through private party, there would be some amount of sales tax and license/registration paid to your state. Doesn't matter one bit for the actual value of the car, but this could factor into the selling price when selling it so soon. Looks like some of you don't count that in the money you've spent buying a car, but if it's money leaving my hands to buy it, it would certainly be part of my ideal price under the seller's stated circumstances.

You should buy OPs car at his full ask so he can be whole again for all his costs in buying and owning this car for 2 months. Seeing as how you would do the same.

Yeah when I was shopping around I saw a lot of Avus Blue, LSB and Daytona Violet. One dealer had like 5 DVs. Paint wasn’t extra. They sat there for a while.

That's pretty impressive then. They only made 54 F80s in Daytona Violet and 82 in Laguna Seca Blue.

I wish I could've found a LSB F80 when I was looking but none were for sale at the time. It's my favorite color by far
