Let the Mods begin

New F80 member here, thought I'd share my experience so far. So...my car finally arrived at the dealership on Saturday, almost 8 weeks from when I ordered it.

Thanks to Raul Jimenez (sales)at Thompson BMW in Doylestown PA for helping me with my order , through the process and for always responding to my 100's of calls and emails, "how much longer"? Everyone said the wait was the worst part and I would agree.

That being said, the wait allowed me to put a small list of initial modifications together that I wanted prior to taking delivery.

Initial Mods
Paint prep and clear paint protection film,
BMW M Performance suspension,
HRE FF04 wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport 4s

Matt Bean and his team from Thompson BMW's Performance center in Doylestown PA are doing all the work. (Pics included)

I go in on Saturday to sign all the documentation and pick up this beauty. Really hope the weather holds up (supposed to be partially sunny and 50's).

Let the real fun begin.

Thompson is a good dealership. I ended up ordering mine from West German because they had an allocation ready to go. Are they installing the PPF at Thompson? Before you pick it up? Maybe something I should consider. Mind is coming in mid-February.

Thompson has a group that all they do is performance work (wheels, suspension, exhaust, tunes etc.). The Performance group has it's own desk and handles all the M car performance and maintenance work.

My previous car was a FBO 135i Convertible with Dinan Stage III, ST Coil overs, HRE Wheels, Wagner Catted DP, Straight Pipe Berk race exhaust and Matt Bean and team did all the work.

Yes...They have someone who does PPF. I believe the product is Xpel Ultimate.

I wanted the car lowered while still being able to access and benefit from the HAS settings in the car and didn't just want to go with other aftermarket springs.

I'm actually doing full front (hood, quarters, A pillars, mirrors) side skirts, partial rear quarters, partial rear bumper. I would say just call Victor over at 360 Degree Details 267-247-2123.

He's done 5 other M cars for buddies of mine and the work is amazing.
