I agree both are equally fun to drive. The instant TQ and power delivery in the M5 is probably the biggest difference to me. As I mentioned before the F80 is wild and the E39 is mature. The F80 feels like a go-cart in terms of handling compared to the E39, but the visceral feeling you get in the M5 makes up for it. Both are equally amazing to drive with different personalities. Obviously with new Tech the F80 is more capable and powerful but you do miss the raw feeling you get with the E39 especially with power delivery.

Can't even tell you how many times I've watched that film, it was certainly my favorite of the bunch. Have you driven a Chevy SS?
